Your truck will be just fine. Idling won't do it harm. Especially for 40 minutes. The big thing is the water build up in the exhaust that you wouldn't want sitting there. But a short drive gets rid of it.
Awesome. Thanks for the information. I am in SK. The intersections here become pure ice because they don't plow. It's pretty well snow roads for the winter.
Any of you have any experience with the stock Dueler tires in the winter? How do they fair on snow and ice?
First winter with my truck. I always put ice tires on my car in the winter in the past. I don't travel far for work...less than 5km. Our winters here are regularly -30c and snow is...
The oil spray is amazing. Definitely helps minimize the rust. Especially if you give a good clean in the spring to get rid of any dirt. Then spray it.
I took my spare off and put a silicone spray on the rubber from Krown. Coated the rim with Krown oil too.

Cut some trees down. Did some towing with the RAM. Then she got a much deserved bath since I had not cleaned her since I got back from Ontario. Even scrubbed the wheel wells and used a silicone spray on them to help protect and shine.

I do it in the spring. As corrosion happens in the warmth. So I get a good cleaning done in the spring time. Then take it in to get sprayed.
I had a 1994 Suzuki Swift that was oil sprayed. Not a spot of rust on it when I traded it in in 2015.
My Dad had a 90 Subaru Legacy and sold it in 2006...
Your vehicle will most definitely drip. I have plywood on the floor of my garage. It drips on that. Alternatively you can get some cardboard and place it underneath while it drips.
Never had an issue with any smell. You do have to be careful when initially leaving. Some oil residue on brakes...
Anyone know at what speed you can switch from 2WD to 4WD/hi or AWD? Just went through the manual and don't see. My Jeep use to be 50km/h you could swap to 4WD. It was 5km/h or so for 4wd/lo
