Yes, it hasn't been an issue, but I can't help but wonder why pressure would build up (presumably) in the system after it cools down. Seems counter intuitive.
Since new, when cold starting in the morning, my brake pedal is rock hard. Basically no travel. I need to push it firmly to start the truck, and one started it's fine, no other issues. I've never had a vehicle do this. Over 5k on the odo at this point. Anybody else experience this?
A 7000lb trailer won't be an issue, but based on what you're telling us payload certainly may be.
Go to a dealer and look at the door stickers of various trucks to get actual payload numbers, it's the only way to know for sure.
A 2500 will for sure handle what you need. A 1500 might be OK...
The braking on this truck, especially if you have eTorque, takes some getting used to. Assuming eTorque, you have 3 types of braking going on, some of it simultaneously:
1. ETorque braking
2. Transmission aggressively downshifting (engine braking)
3. Regular friction braking at the wheels...
Will it do it? Yeah, I think so. Will you like it is the question. If this was a very occasional thing maybe you can get away with it, but the MUCH better option is an MC trailer. I've rented the Uhaul MC trailers and they work great for occasional hauls. If I was transporting a bike...
I noticed the rambox on the announced Built to Serve edition has the same slight rear warping that mine has. I'd say no fix in sight if their own marketing photos show misalignment:

A good cable is required for Android auto. I never had a problem with AA in the Ram, but recently I installed an aftermarket unit in my other car and AA would randomly disconnect. Eventually I tried a different cable and now it works flawlessly. I can't say why AA is so picky about cabling...
The 8.4 screens have these annoying weather alerts that can't be turned off as well. My Guardian subscription finally expired so maybe they'll go away.
Everything about the 4c radio is garbage. The nav is terrible, the maps are outdated. The voice commands are terrible. Guardian functions...
I wouldn't trust it. Bluetooth is funky sometimes, and the last thing you want is to lose brake functionality when towing. Plus having the brake function immediately at your fingertips in an emergency is paramount. If for whatever reason your trailer starts to sway uncontrollably the solution...
The trend in "fixes" from FCA is that if it can't be fixed with a 5 minute electronic flash it doesn't get fixed unless it's a safety recall. My prediction is they will fix the issue in a later model year and change the design just enough that it's not backwards compatible, and hence won't work...
SiriusXM is on a death spiral as far as I can tell.
The Guardian functions are completely useless. Remote start doesn't work, and now getting feedback on the SOS function from you guys shows us that function is unreliable at best.
For SiriusXM radio, I have a family subscription to YouTube...
I installed one of these as well.
When I first installed it, I had 3 bubbles under the glass. I've installed these on phones multiple times, so I was a little perplexed. Two of the bubbles were random spots, but the one in the middle was perfectly round and dead center. I couldn't rub them...
Oh man, totally with you! Push to release defies all logic. I seriously would like to ask whoever made this decision what their logic was.
On topic, my biggest gripe is that the nav maps are way out of date. I just bought a Tomtom GPS unit for my motorcycle and it has recently updated maps...
