Yes, in fact yesterday I was at a dealership for my 2024 Jeep JL, and wanted the dealership to look at, they said leave it for at least 10 weekdays before they can even look at it. Sucks because I haven't even received the license plate from MVA for Jeep.
I need to take a long trip and I need to get my truck checked for what looks like an cracked exhaust manifold issue. I cannot wait for local clowns to give me 3 weeks turn around time. Do you know of any or recommend any decent dealership in Maryland?
Yes, but it costs upto 2k with dealer and most dealers don't even want to try it. Also, mine has 23 Gallon so fuel pump also needs to be ordered and not as simple as upgrading from 26g to 33g.
At that time, you couldn't order Hemi in Laramie trim with 5.7 bed. They were trying to get the Laramies off the lot so the option to order Hemi was disabled with dealers. Got confirmation from 3 dealers including Antony Boi of Mark Dodge.
This is the only biggest gripe I have with my truck. I have 23 Gallon tank ☹️. It checked everything else I wanted, except the tank. The ones that had 33 gallon tank had several other key features missing from my list. This is a big deal for me as I came from Jeep GC EcoDiesel with over 800...
Good to know. I am going on a 1200 mile road trip again and will try to keep pressing update later until I am back. I don't want to risk unexpected behavior from UC while I am on the road.
I am looking for some recommendation from people who have gotten their truck protected. FF website has a locater but few of them I called don't offer the service or are not interested from the sound of it. Thanks!
I only have 2200 miles so - Only time I used 4WD Auto (two weeks ago) when it was raining cats and dogs and lot of water was on the road surface of the highway. I only plan to use for wet and snow conditions. I think its an overkill for just highway cruising, and putting wear on parts.
My lie o' meter is only 0.5 or 0.6 more than hand calculated when I am driving locally, but it is about a mile and half less than hand calculated when I am doing highway. 🤷♂️
I got hand calculated 22.7 mpg on my trip between Niagara Falls and Maryland (1+4 passengers + luggage). I drove mostly around 70-75 mph (on US-15N and US-15S) on my new Ram with only 300 miles on it. I have 3.92 and e-torque. Locally, I am getting hand calculated 16.5 to 17.5 mpg in mixed...
Same here. I hated it when picking up the truck, and still don't really like it but getting used to it. I did asked the dealer to find how much it will cost to replace it with regular mirrors - they quoted $2400 to replace it with equivalent features - I believe the price was $900 for each...
I considered Tundra due to Toyota's reputation but the following things sealed the deal for me to not get one = No V8, smaller interior with hump on the floor in rear, poor turning radius, no provision for tow hooks from factory, also read somewhere that they had to lift the cab to replace...
This is a great list and I went over it almost all of it when picking up my truck. I wouldn't have thought of over half of the items if it was not for this thread. Thank you!
