Just wanted to update this in case anyone else having similar issues. Finally got it back today and it’s working great so far. Here’s what they did. Will update again in a few weeks…
We replaced a 20 way connector that transfers communications between modules on the truck and aligned all the...
Hey guys,
2019 1500 limited, 90k miles. Have absolutely loved this truck and had zero issues with it up until a month ago.
Driving along when all of the sudden every error message/light started blinking on dash. Shifter needs service, ABS, cruise control… you name it. Even the windshield...
After calling BAK directly and Morrie at TFO, they both agreed that the only option for the MX4 and practically every other tonneau cover is the silver rails. The only tonneau cover that works with the black rails is the soft mopar trifold.
Definitely like the look of black ones better but unfortunately I want a hard cover.
My only concern about these eBay rails is they all say 2010-2018. Not sure if mopar made a new set of rails to fit the 19’s.
My question is will any of the silver rails fit? Saw some on eBay that say 2010-2018 but they are the same mopar # as the ones i ordered from moparonlineparts.
Caught mine doing the exact same thing today. Any others notice this? Is this supposed to happen or is something loose?
Mine only really does it on rear passenger side.
Called Bakflip. Looks like Mopar has 2 different rail systems. One is black and one is silver. The black one fits the soft MOPAR cover. The silver one fits all the other covers.
Thanks for the reply. I did a quick search while I was at the store but couldn’t find anything discussing this. What’s strange is it looks like the railing system and the BUG is one piece. So if I get the MX4 rails, i lose the BUG.
Hey Guys,
Bought a line-x trifold (bakflip MX4) and went to have it installed today. They say they can’t do it bc of the rail system on my truck. It came with the mopar soft tonneau cover and the new cover won’t fit into the railing system that came with the soft cover.
Any ideas?
I personally believe these sales will still be around next month. Once you go down this low, hard to go back up. Only way they go back up is if they sell off enough vehicles. From what I’m seeing here in Houston, there are a TON of the higher trim ‘19s left.
Hey guys,
Brought a limited home today and it came with factory tonneau cover installed. So far not exactly thrilled with factory cover. Doesn’t seem to be sealed that well in the back and not a huge fan of the locking/closing mechanism. I’m familiar with the bakflip g2 (my dad had one on a 15...
Correction... Above deal fell through because the dealer tried to throw in junk on the back end.
