Looking at some takeoffs from a new TRX... just the wheels. I have 275/60R20 on my truck now. I plan on using 285/65R18 on the TRX wheels, which will give me very close to the same size tire... 1/2 inch shorter and 1/2 inch wider.
Anyone know if I'll have any issues with the wheels... or...
Has anyone swapped painted for chrome door handles?
I'm assuming it would be fairly easy since the handles seem to come off easily enough. Since I am having my truck wrapped in the Stealth matte PPF, I don't think I want to wrap the door handles. Those seem to be more difficult to get wrapped...
I'm in southeast Alabama, so somewhere in Alabama, north Florida, or even Nashville or Atlanta would be fine. The last guy I used in Dothan, AL, did a horrible job initially and kept my F150 for over six weeks, and still could not get it perfect, although he had a 150K Corvette that looked...
Maybe it should be UConfused, RAM Confused, and Jeep Confused ... and maybe I need to buy another Chrysler product so I can get MORE Confused.
What is up with all the Connects? I have vehicles listed I can't get rid of, and I'm running out of space on my phone to keep up with all my Connect...
Looking at trading my 23 Platinum in on a Limited. Back when I purchased the Platinum, I traded in my 2020 Laramie. My wife and I drove the FX4, and regular 4x4 Platinum, and the 4x4 seemed like it was slightly smoother riding than the Laramie, although close. The Platinum was a little quieter...
Actually considering this, even though I said I'd wait awhile, but I am curious of those who have gone from a 1500 to a 2500, what are the major differences outside of towing?
Is the 2500 as quiet as the 1500? Gas mileage probably takes a hit?
To confirm my suspicions.... I have the 2020 Laramie 4x4 5.7 eTorque 3.92. I believe I read on the door sticker a 1162lb payload.
Therefore... towing the following fifth wheel would not be advisable nor safe...
I'm not sure if I should describe it as a knocking noise, maybe a tap tap here and there, almost like a rock hitting the underside. It only happens when on rough ground, going over bumps, etc, and it's not anything constant or consistent... it's random, although often. Seems like something...
Just a heads up... as I know there were several folks looking for the Bilstein 5100 and other models, and for a few weeks they were hard to find. Most everyone online was out of stock. I ordered a set from RealTruck.com and thought they were on their way right about that time frame of them...
I don't know exactly what you call it... but when I first press the gas pedal to start moving... there is a hesitation. I can't seem to get it right, but it's not a smooth take off like it was in my 2017 or my 2019. It doesn't feel right. The eTorque is already jumpy when I let off the brake...
Has anyone (or do you know of anyone) that has trimmed the mounting area in the dash to fit 4" speakers in a 2019-2020?
I'm thinking about trying it. I don't think much would have to be removed, and a Dremel should take care of it, being it's all plastic.
I'm also curious if anyone knows the...
I posted this thread in our audio forum and will copy it here, being it is related to my RAM truck.
I keep saying that one day I am going to grow out of my car audio hobby obsession. Perhaps that will be the day you guys will be talking about me in the past tense, as I just can't shake it...
Curious if eTorque will cause the engine to start when releasing the brake pedal. My 2020 does a mild take off when depressing the brake pedal... a slight jump start, so to speak. I thought it wasn't supposed to start up until I press the gas pedal. Did they change it, or is there perhaps...
I realize I'm preaching to the choir here... so to speak. I've read quite a bit about this issue, which seems to be a very serious issue for those who are fairly well familiar with quality sound systems in vehicles. I traded in a 2019 with the Alpine system for the 2020 with the HK system...
