When buying out of state, did you pay tax and what was the cost to register within your own state?

ya....I know what you're thinking....the answer is no, there's no LEGAL way to not pay the sales tax of the state you are registering it in...lol

    diminished value claim

retired insurance adjuster here. my career was in Mass, live in CO now. I have never heard of someone getting paid out on diminished value when there is no other carrier to go after. DV is paid out by the liable party's insurance co. As someone mentioned, there are different laws in different...

    Holy Brake pads!!!!

You could be right, I might be thinking of a different vehicle I've had in the past. It doesn't matter to me. I could feel the rotors starting to act up here and there, so it's piece of mind for me. Since I save a ton doing my own work I don't mind.

What brakes do you recommend (time to replace)

Just did my front rotors at 60K miles, (see my post "Holy Brake pads" above). I went with NAPA premium adaptive rotors, their best. Couldn't be happier. Smooth as silk, zinc coated all over, and at $114 each, pretty good pricewise. My pads were so good, I left them as is, even though I had a...

    Holy Brake pads!!!!

    Service Electronic Throttle Control

wouldn't worry about it to be honest. I had that happen to me in 2021, I was pulling a TT about 5000#, and running a pedal Commander, with "Tow/Haul" button on. All of a sudden bingo, same warning showed up, and sudden loss of power. Pulled over, thought for a minute, then figured it might be my...

2020 Ram 1500 No start, new battery, starter, and ign switch

...you replaced the starter, battery, AND ignition switch without knowing what the problem is yet? not trying to make you feel bad, but don't do that again. Need to have it towed to a reputable auto repair shop, who can properly diagnose the problem. Could be as simple as a ground issue, or a...

    Hail damage

wait til you see what's coming down the pike in terms of homeowners insurance. I'm in Colorado, and we are getting 100% increases on homeowners due to hail/fire risk. My home went from $2K to $4K a year. It's happening in TX, FL(Hurricanes), CO, and soon any state where hail is a big risk. As a...

    Air Suspension in colder climates

    PW vs LTD

once I got in and drove a Limited....I knew I could never NOT have that suspension, just simply amazing. Get what you want, but I really have a hard time believing you will think you made "a mistake" after buying a Limited, unless you were into serious off-roading, which you aren't.
