Holy Brake pads!!!!

Decided to do front rotors...these are my front brake pads after 60,000 miles! These things will go to 100,000 I think. Wow ..

Just checked mine while, rotating the tires, @ 70k miles and I think mine might have a touch more pad than that. So I agree, they'll probably go 100k.

could feel a little bit of pulsating now and then(warpage). Factory recommends tey be replaced anyway at or before 70K miles. Went with NAPA adaptive (their best) at $114 ea.

Did you try bedding the brakes to eliminate the pulsation? Many times, the rotor isn't warped, but imprinted with pad material that burned in on a sudden stop or very hot rotor.

Can't say I'm surprised. At almost 63k miles and mine look good.

I had a 2020 Chevy Equinox and turned it in after 3.5 years, 182k miles with its original brakes...

I have never seen that in any recommended service from Ram. Inspect brake linings yes, not replace rotors.

You could be right, I might be thinking of a different vehicle I've had in the past. It doesn't matter to me. I could feel the rotors starting to act up here and there, so it's piece of mind for me. Since I save a ton doing my own work I don't mind.

There is a guy on YT, who replaced all 4 for the first time at 240k miles.

I replaced mine just over a year ago at 110K miles. Surprising to me, the rears were almost gone and the fronts still had easily 50% of the pad left. I replaced all pads & rotors anyway, but I was pretty shocked to see how good the fronts were at that mileage. (I do drive a lot of freeway...and so does Justin from that YT video)

I started getting a squeak on light brake application. I pulled the calipers and checked mine today at 130k miles.
Fronts: Still had a ton of pad left. Rotor thickness 30mm (28.4 min thickness).
Rears: The outside pad was worn slightly more, so I flipped the pads. Rotor thickness measured 21.5mm (20.4mm min thickness)

I've never seen brakes wear this well. I'm impressed.

I am from Canada I have Over 240,000 km on mine and still have lots of like mine is just the regular hemi no etorque

Did you ever determine what was causing the squeak? Just in the past couple of days, my brakes have started a light squeal when the brakes are cold and I was thinking a pad replacement might be in order.

This thread has made me think I need to look at the pads before I order them.
