Hmmm that code is a new one to me. What year is your truck? It’s possible it clears itself after a day or so. If it was a serious can error you’d have some other module refusing to work because everything communicates through can on these trucks.
If you didn’t change out the ABS or HCU you will get errors. What’s happening is your dasm is sending signals that your ABS module cannot understand, is not expecting or cannot fulfill. If you have any ABS module faults, you’ll get all those warnings you mentioned as the ABS module controls all...
I never tried used HCU or ABS Modules, I just assumed they needed to be new based on what I’ve read regarding other vehicles. The ABS and HCU are fairly cheap in my opinion, so it was a pretty easy call to just buy new and not worry about it. I didn’t want to buy used and fall deeper into the hole.
Assuming that module is the correct one for ACC, and as long as the module wasn’t installed on another truck (different vin) then there won’t be an issue. I did the same thing. I attempted the ABS module before swapping the HCU. Ordered the HCU a few weeks later.
If you purchase the comma three and select "development vehicle" under the car harness option, you will have everything you need. I believe he only purchased the C3, so he had to order the development harness "kit" to make it a complete set.
You should post that you have some extra harnesses available in the discord group. I’m sure there will be some people that would rather buy them then build them
okay - that makes no sense.. maybe you accidently had the incorrect settings selected? Not sure. Either way, glad it is working.
To bleed the brakes with alpha, just do as it says. -Open bleeder screw, connect your hose/catch bottle, press brake, start bleed process. All it does is flush fluid...
I assume you were able to bleed brakes manually first and then using alphaobd after? While bleeding brakes it’s important to check the fluid level during the process.
unfortunately i think you might have to go to the dealership to get this fixed. they will most likely just do an initialization. All you need to tell them is that you replaced the ABS module and need them to do the initialization. Basically the same thing that i went through.
Is the EPB the only light that is illuminated on your dash? No ABS light?
Try this: connect abs but try to force 2013-2018 powernet instead of 2019+. Attempt to run the procedures from there. If the app auto forces 2019+ on connection, select 2013-2018 after the force select, then go straight...
I have never seen the C006A code when I went through this process a while back. What all parts did you install? Looks like you are having the EPB plant mode problem I described in the original document.
