    NAPA auto parts shows U-joints are available. And since the joint is secured with clips, not staking, it is serviceable.

    It's a vacuum pump for the brakes. Variable valve timing and MDS can cause manifold vacuum to drop, which will affect the brake booster.

    I've got the auto system and I always see a delay between when I push the button and when it stays lit. And the front actuator also has to move, not just the TC clutches. It costs him nothing to try my method.

    Turn ignition on without starting. Cycle throttle to max and back a few times. Shut off. Start, drive. See if it improves.
