Recall of High Pressure Fuel Pump

Is there any timeline on the repair? I've heard nothing yet other than my initial notice. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk

Recall of High Pressure Fuel Pump

Now that there's an official recall I don't think warranty or mileage matters. They have to fix it as it's a know issue. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk

    First Ecodiesel trip

Yep now he loves to shoot it down whenever he can. Gets old listening to guys talk about how expensive diesels are. DEF is almost a cost I don't even consider. I'm in Canada and to fill my DEF tank at a truck stop is $15 or so ever 7-8k kms. Oil pricing? Wx has made videos saying he paid $17...

No need to change transmission fluid for the life of the truck...REALLY?

Why would you do that? The plan has a drain plug. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk

    High Oil Pressure

Normal. The oil is thicker when cold so pressure is higher. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk

    No more diesel.......

I think the new updated engine that came out in 23 has an even longer service interval. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk

    Oil Filter for Ecodiesel ?

I just ordered two from Mopar parts Canada. They were about $70. You have to pay shipping which was about $25 but even with shipping and tax it's cheaper than local dealer. I've used rock auto in the past and they are usually priced well but I just checked last week and their prices shot up...

    Engine Bay Heat 6.4

You'll have better luck on the HD forum. But I had two Jeep SRTs before with the 6.4 The amount of heat that thing produced was crazy. It had functional hood vents and when stopped at a light you could see heat coming out of them. If you opened the hood after a drive it was very warm as well...

    Oil Filter for Ecodiesel ?

It's sad that after 3-4 years they are still trying to use the wrong oil on the 3rd gen ecodiesel. This is why my truck gets serviced by me only as at least I know I'm using the correct products. I've switched to Quaker state 5W-40 Euro. It goes on sale frequently for $35CDN for 5 litres...

Should I Even Consider the EcoDiesel (3rd Gen)?

Just drove 1130km (700 miles) towing my 7x16 enclosed snowmobile trailer. With two snowmobiles it's probably around 2500lbs or so. Cruise control set at 112km/hr (70mph) with tow haul on. Truck stayed in 8th gear and towed like a dream. Ecodiesel rocks. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk

Should I Even Consider the EcoDiesel (3rd Gen)?

There never is. Life is to short. Buy the truck you want and enjoy it. Hemi is a great engine for most.. Ecodiesel is a great engine for some. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk

Oil Change: Its Wrong or its Right period. 5th Gen.

They're not. The whole cartridge is replaced every change and it's all plastic. There's quite a bit of resistance while threading it in. I've done 8 or so oil changes on my ecodiesel and they all went in with some resistance. Lubing the plastic threads helps. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk
