Ultimate OBD JScan Thread

is there a way to set your turn signal to always on and retain the top brow (limited trim) to amber simultaneously? i seen tazer users can do this just wonder if jscan has that option figured out?

also is there a step i missed? i have my top accent light set to drl and amber but it only comes on if the truck is out of park.

I have the turn sig enabled for DRL and accents are still on. It stays on in park also. I don't have a limited so it may be different

25/26 you will need to use the Jeep ws option
thanks so much for that! I was able to get it to read the VIN, so it looks like it's connected correctly. What I was hoping to accomplish next was the steps to program a new keyfob as noted in a different post. However, i'm not able to do much and it doesn't look like i'm getting the screens and menus I need to be able to follow those steps. I have the vgate vlinker MC+ and the instructions on the jscan app say I need the vlinker MS. Do I really need that different version of vlinker? seems like it may be so, since the MC+ shows as "BLE" - bluetooth low energy, and the vlinker MS shows under a different section for OBD Link MX+ devices.

The 2025+ rams are a completely different vehicle as far as the communication architecture compared to pre-2025. You aren’t going to be able to do anything with JScan on your truck, even by faking it as a jeep WL or WS, which is read only anyway. Even with alfaobd on the 2025+, several tools and subscriptions are required to make any settings changes.
Even then, it’ll be almost impossible for the average person to program a fob on a 2025+, since all aftermarket tools now require NASTF credentials to do fob programming.

Not that it's going to resolve your issues trying to program a 25+, but the vLinker MC+ broadcasts both BLE(BT4.0) for apple devices, and BT(BT3.0) for Android. You need to use the "vlinker MC-Android" BT connection if you have an Android phone. If you have an Apple phone, you connect to the BLE device in the JScan app.

Does anyone know where in Jscan you can change halogen to led? It’s on a 2023 bighorn..Need to stop the flickering.

Any one know if JScan can do this ?

One of the comments said global up/down to enable this feature on ALFAobd .
Has anyone confirmed if this works? I tried searching but haven't seen anything. And if it has worked what is the sequence on the key fob?

Anyone know if I can use Jscan to tweak the sensitivity of the ambient light sensor for the headlights? My lights turn on when I pass under trees, which dims the dash.

Very annoying!

that sucks. Guess i'll have to turn off auto headlights, or is there any other hack?
Set the dimmer switch one click higher to have the dash lights bright during the day with headlights on. Then roll it back down one click when it actually gets dark out

I've been doing that as well. Appreciate the help.

We have very extensive AlfaODB thread so I thought maybe it is time to start one for JScan? Seems JScan is slowly getting upgraded in what it can do and I am an Apple world guy so it is my only option right now. I don't mind buying an Android, but if I can use what I already have why not? I have found with the help of others that not everything works as you might think so a thread like this would help others get to where they need to be as members post their mod "recipe".

So far I have added auto high beams and fog lights on with high beam. Future mod is adding passive entry (parts are on the way) and programming a new key fob to allow for keyless tailgate open.

Here is how I activated fog light with high beams and auto high beams.

Fog lights on with high beam
Adaption>VehicleUserSettings>Front Fog Lamp Dropout=active switched to deactived
Set auto high beam option in radio
Search for "auto" in app
Auto High Beam CSM on/off>switch deactivated to active then restart ecu

Auto high beam
Choose Jeep Gladiator JT as the vehicle. Then go to adaptation, then auto headlamp & auto highbeams settings:
Auto High Beam CSM On/Off- ACTIVE
Auto High Beam Module Location- IRCM
Auto High Beam On/Off- ACTIVE
I followed your instructions and was able to get the fog lights to stay on with high beams. However, I can’t get the auto high beams to work. I followed your instructions and was able to see the auto high beams in the radio menu and was able to tick the box showing it enabled. Still didn’t work when I took it for a drive. Any suggestions? It’s a 2022 1500 bighorn Hemi 5.7 quad cab night edition. Thanks

Did you install the wiring harness and rear view mirror with the camera/sensor?
