    Putco Blade Malfunctioning - Thoughts

Hello everyone, I purchased an installed a 60" Putco Blade tailgate lightbar. It is the red (running light, brake, and hazard light functions), Amber (turn indication), and white (for reverse). Two weeks ago I noticed something weird happening with my tailgate lightbar. This is what it did...

    Spray-in Liner vs Drop-in Liner

So I am on my 5th pick-up truck in my life time and I have pretty much everything under the sun. 93 Ford ranger - Aftermarket drop-in that was "basically" for the truck but not form fitted. Protected the bed from the cargo side of things, but because it vibrated and shifted, it rusted out the...

Switch Pro SP9100 Switch Panel Install

Interesting - I have a tray where the CD player would be. I wonder if the Switch Pro would fit there instead of the phone holder.

Is there an hard fold tonneau cover that wont block the rear view mirror camera?

Another option you may want to look at is one that isn't mass produced and is sort of a local brand from a truck accessories company in my part of the country, Radco. They have a Bakflip style cover that you can remove when it's up against the rear window for full bed usage. It's very popular...

Ugh - having a bad night

As promised, here are photos of the truck. Unless you didn’t know, one could say it looks brand new.

Ugh - having a bad night

I received a call from the dealership's collision center yesterday afternoon saying the truck was fixed and it's ready for pick up. I went and picked it up this morning and it looked as good as it did when I bought it. I guess it helps that they are Ram dealer and probably have the inside track...

Ugh - having a bad night

Well they came and towed her to the collision center on Friday and I was given what I describe as an economy rental car. Went from a 1/2 truck to a 3 door hatchback (Hyundai Veloster). Keep in mind that the last little hatchback car I rode in and occasionally drove was over 20 years ago in an...

Ugh - having a bad night

So I went out to the truck to survey the damage with the sun shining and here is what I found, or at least make out. - Bumper and bodywork damaged. - tailgate damaged. - Rear parking sensors destroyed. - driver’s side exhaust brackets snapped. - driver side exhaust shoved against rear tire. -...

Ugh - having a bad night

Well as I was pulling into my apartment complex and looking for a place to park my truck for the night, I was rear-ended by a less than attentive driver. Driver side exhaust is hanging down and rubbing up against the tire, rear bumper is smashed and my poor PUTCO tailgate bar is history. Had...

    Bed Rug Options

I have had drop in liners, a spray-in liner, and bed rugs so I am familiar with most of them. Here is my opinion. Drop in liners are absolute garbage. Yeah, they are form fitted but they still wiggle a little and vibrate. That will eventually wear the paint down and then you have rust...

FOR WORK & PLAY: Ram 1500 Outdoorsman Concept:

That is a sharp looking truck. Curious, are these just factory accessories or are they still in the concept mode? I'd love for that vacuum to be in my truck along with that tailgate work surface and those two slides. That bull bar looks great too.

    Added ambient lighting

Nice... I'd be interested in seeing on how you wired it up to the headlight switch.

    Tailgate light bar

So good questions - first I don't have a MFT, traditional tailgate only. When I purchased the truck I wasn't sure if I wanted that type of tailgate....even if I bought one now I think I would still be on the fence. However, I definitely would add the bed utility group...that would have saved me...

    Tailgate light bar

Short answer, is no it doesn't feel loose. That is why I added the extra washers to "sandwich" the molded plastic between...gives it a more support than just the screw, spacer, and nut. Also the center section of the molded plastic I believe it is held on with those plastic "rivets" that...
