I received a call from the dealership's collision center yesterday afternoon saying the truck was fixed and it's ready for pick up. I went and picked it up this morning and it looked as good as it did when I bought it. I guess it helps that they are Ram dealer and probably have the inside track on parts vs. Abra Auto Body or Maaco. Over $9,900 in parts and labor, all billed to the insurance company of the guy who hit me.

Some of the more interesting things to note is the tailgate, driver-side side panel, left side tailgate pin, and left LED taillight assembly were all replaced. The LED light alone was $1k .

Anyway, my baby is back and I am happy.

I am now thinking of investing in a front & rear camera set up just in case something like this happens again. Not sure what I should go with though. I'll post photos of the repair work when I get a chance.

Blackvue and Garmin are the cameras I've been tossing around. Haven't decided yet.

Used parts? what is that mean? I've never heard of an insurance company having used parts as replacements. Maybe aftermarket... But not used.
We install used parts all the time at the dealer when a customer is using their insurance for suspension damage or flood repairs. Cheaper for the insurance. Most customers don't complain.

I have the viofo a129pro? (idk if the pro is right?). Works great. I put cameras in all my vehicles after a lady rear ended my wife while she was stopped and tried to blame it on her. Luckily the insurance adjustors were not idiots lol.

As promised, here are photos of the truck. Unless you didn’t know, one could say it looks brand new.
