Agree it is easy no well worth doing. With the air damn removed, I just grabbed the bolt with vice grips and pulled on it like a slide hammer. Came out in two pulls each side. No need to undo the connector, just pull the dam off the arms, leave them and the motor on.

It’s easier to just take the AAD off, imo. Four 10mm bolts take two minutes to pull, then you have a straight shot at the bolts, and also at the bezel. There is also no need to pry the old bezel out. Take some snips or thin dykes, and cut the two nubs above the metal tab and then punch them...

Yes, but I just use my heated seats and steering wheel. Never use the heat. Stays set on 60.

I was simply saying I live in Houston and I’ve never used my heat, so I can’t help you if it works or not down here when you remote start. It works fine with my AC, which I use year round.

My AC comes on fine in the mornings with remote start. I don’t know if my truck has heat. I’ve never used it.

I like the honk for both locking and remote start. It makes sure there are no critters in or under the truck when I start it.

It’s not the same. Even if they used the same film, the paint prep on the after market is far superior. All depends on how picky you are.

Based on OP’s signature, I doubt a rental or loaner is a viable option for them. OP, do you have a friend or family member that you could Uber to the dealership to pick it up and bring it you, then you could run them home ?

Take it to a different, good shop and ask them if they can check it. One benefit of using a mobile tint guy is that I can see exactly what he is doing and what products he is using. He uses nothing but XPEL and it is a huge difference that is immediately noticable.

Battery voltage was 1.4 volts. Goes from driving home fine to 1.4 volts the next day. It has to be something not shutting off.
