Change to turn signals in 2023 MY?

I checked the 2023 owners manual to see if a setting was added (I have a Hyundai Santa Cruz, and you can disable this or set 3,5 or 7 flashes on a short press) I didn't see any settings for it, but it does seem funny it says "Lane Change Assist - If Equipped". Is it possible it isn't on all...

    Bought a new truck today!

You'll love it! Congrats! It rides like a dream, has awesome milage, and if you tow, it is a much more relaxed towing experience over the Hemi. Just pulls along without screaming at you. Plus, if you got the 33-gallon tank seeing 800-900 miles of range is comforting! Now if only the diesel...

    Panoramic Sunroof Question

Even if you never open the sunroof it is amazing in these Rams. Really opens up the space and floods it with light making the cab feel more spacious than it already is. Feeling like having it darker in the cab? Just hit the button and close the shade and it's like you're in a different truck...

How to disable horn on cold start

Oh heck, we did it all the time. Pull up to my girl's house to pick her up...beep beep. Pull up to my buddy's house to pick them up to go to school beep beep. Buddy pulls up to my house to pick me up to go bowling...beep beep. Driving down the road and see a friend walking his dog...beep beep...

How to disable horn on cold start

LOL this is great! Well, we better not stop with this horn-toot! Let's keep going! 1. Disable all vehicle horns so they do not function below 20-MPH. That way when Johnny pulls up next door to pick up Suzie he can't toot the horn to let her know he is there. Just get out and walk up to the...

How to disable horn on cold start

I can't see my truck from the window at work but can hear the horn. The horn with remote start lets me know it received the signal and will be nice and warm for me when I leave to go home. Without it I would have to walk about 200 feet to open the door to confirm it started and why would my lazy...

    6-Month Impressions & Review of a 2022 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

Ditto all you say! Much quieter and smoother riding than the Hemi. I can get 30-32 MPG on 250-mile + trips at the speed limit to 5 MPH over the speed limit. Towing is so much more relaxed than the Hemi. It doesn't scream going upgrades. Fill up that 33 gal tank and seeing 900 miles of range is...

    heated steering wheel..

I have found that in most cases of "Why the heck did the engineers or designers do that?" there is a valid reason behind it. We may not agree with it but as much as we like to poke fun and say "that engineer isn't too bright" these are intelligent people and I am sure that we here on an internet...

Installing Factory Trailer Brake Controller and DIY Software Update

Oh boy! This could go south really fast. Let's change the subject to something more peaceful... What's better, 3.21 gears or 3.92???

    heated steering wheel..

Not to mention not everyone should be using Alpaobd on their truck. You can cause some real damage with that if you don't know what you are doing. Some people just are not comfortable or have the desire to do the programming themselves. I used it to add a factory trailer brake controller to my...

    heated steering wheel..

Yeah, I thought that also but on some days I had to shut it off because it got overly warm. On other days drove 4+ hours with it on and it felt perfect. Could be the gremlins in the Uconnect also. My system has been wonky since the day I got it and haven't gotten around to taking it to the dealer.

    heated steering wheel..

It seems to me this is the case with mine. I notice on cold days the wheel is warmer than on warmer days. Might be my imagination but that's how it always seems to me.

21 Ram1500 Ecodiessel ORG, tire question and options.

Those wore very well. I have always noticed that once tires get up there in miles the ride tends to go away. I am always replacing mine based on the ride quality other than how much tread is left. The tire shop is telling me I have another 5,000 miles of tread left but I swap them out anyways...

Proximity alarm horn did not turn off

This guy is entertaining and explains the problems with low voltage pretty well. Starts at about 14 minute mark :

Proximity alarm horn did not turn off

This is such a common occurrence on here. The truck is acting funny electronically and it turns out to be a bad battery. Glad they finally got it figured out for you. I guess Ram has their reasons for the protocols they run and dealers are probably controlled by RAM pretty tightly so the...
