I have a 2019 ram 1500 with the 5.7. 86,000 miles. Built in January 2019. I’ve had it for a couple of years and it’s been a great truck. However, I noticed I have fallen victim to the rear frame window crack. I noticed water leaking in during the storm. We are having down here in Texas. I’ve attached the pictures. The bottom floorboard of my passenger side was wet under the carpet in the rear seat as well. I have found the TSB. I’m wondering how much arguing I’m going to get from the dealer and any steps I need to take that are necessary to avoid this and get it fixed at no cost as soon as possible as I believe I am eligible for this. I’m in Austin and have had nothing but horrible experiences with dealers here before and prefer to use Tech One Automotive for maintenance and repairs. Thank you for any suggestions! Also, this is my first post hope it’s in the correct spot.

Have you tried searching? There are tons of post on here about it. It seems to be hit or miss getting the dealer to fix it for free. Mine was fixed for free, but I was still under factory warranty.. Insurance may cover it too.

Had mine replaced under the original warranty, it failed again couple years later. I did receive the extended warranty replacement letter but did not bother with it, went ahead and silicone the whole top and down the sides. This is what the latest TSB is calling for anyway.

Good info.. thank you.. do you possibly know of any tutorials on this on YouTube that is similar to how you fixed it? Anything helps.

Why not just Permatex the outer top of the window and be done with it?

I did that years ago as a preventive measure.

I see.. was curious about how you did it since it seemed to fix it. You siliconed on the inside? Did you remove anything before doing so?
The outside with permatex flowable, two tubes of it, across and down the sides.
