Crawled around under the truck for a couple hours spraying cosmoline. What a mess, but I love that stuff. First time really under her and she is clean with next to no rust, a rare thing in NY. Also a first time using ramps, and might be my last. Was a pain in the butt.View attachment 200507
Looks like it was wet out and that wouldn't have helped out. I love my ramps when I can make use of themWere they sliding on you?
Or just do what I do and use some cheap door mats with rubber underneath.
It started raining afterwards.Looks like it was wet out and that wouldn't have helped out. I love my ramps when I can make use of them
Good advice, thanks. I had to put it in 4 low to keep them from sliding. Your trick would have been helpful.Looks like it was wet out and that wouldn't have helped out. I love my ramps when I can make use of them
Replaced the hood switch hope the p152e goes away and my truck quits disabling as/as and randomly shutting off.
The old switch tested ok and it stopped for 2 days. I don't have time to diag an intermittent issue that there is a general TSB on.
I feel a lot better using ramps than jack stands. To much torque and uneven ground and BOOM jack slips and your SOL. I’ve always made sure to double and triple check jack points on all vehicles I’ve owned and always put my floor jack where I am working as a precaution and still feel uneasy about it. With the ramps I use I can be under the vehicle and some one grab something from inside the car and not flinch BUT on jack stands if a bird lands on the vehicle I’m rolling outYa, ramps scare me lol
Yup they were brand new and have the rubber. As another member mentioned, if I place a floor matt underneath it should help with the issue. Putting it in 4 wheel also helped. For the ramps look at the under side and see/make sure the rubber friction pads are on the leading edge. Make as huge difference. At least all the pairs I used/ bought had the friction pads. The tire pushes down on the ramp, pushing the rubber pad into the concrete providing traction.
likely somewhere in the eastern sierras along highway 395 lolWhere is here?
Would you be ok to share?
If it's in the US, I'm not likely to care. But I just might be willing to take a trip for water this clear.
just like mine, the signal TSB was just checked and fine I ll bet...took it to a dealership for recalls: 75B-ABS Module flashed to 68548900AC, A1B-Turn signal lever/latch- Inspect Steering Column, Control Module.
The paper work does not state if anything was replaced for the turn signalI wasn't having any issues with that and wouldn't have gone in, if it weren't for the ABS issue. Total time just over an hour. View attachment 200499
