I spoke to the production manager at BAK yesterday - MX4 is being built and shipping now! Are you wanting to place an order?

Was referring to this gap in the corner between the tailgate and the bed.... Not the cover.

I have the mopar cover with ramboxes and when I go through the car wash everything in the bed gets soaked....I am very disappointed with the seal, I tried to fill that gap with a rubber gasket but haven't had any luck. Does yours leak? Do you have suggestions to fix that leak?

Have you contacted Mopar?
You aren't going to find a folding cover that is "weatherproof" but rather "weather-resistent"
That being said, the gap in the photo is horrible! Have you been able to do any troubleshooting to see exactly where the water is coming in?
Drain tubes are ran, etc?

Hi All. New member today. Joined because of this thread.

I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited with the Ram Box. I had a Tonneau cover company order me the BakFlip MX4 Toneau cover for it. They ordered the one they say that fits my truck. 448227RB. They tried to install it and said they couldn't because it wouldn't fit on my truck with the Ram Cargo Management system.

Has anybody installed this Tonneau cover? Could you post a picture showing ow it attaches?

Trying to get the answer before they ship it back.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

I just installed one, same part number, built on 1/15 and it went on just fine. The "RB" in the model number is for RamBox.

If they can't figure this out you might not want them installing your cover either...

Thanks Edward.

Great info. When installing it, do you take out the adjustable tiedowns and use that railing system to install.

Does it look like it will keep the water out?

Again, Thanks inadvance,
Chris

The Bak rails slide into the top of the RamBox rails. You have to remove the cleats but can then reinstall them after sliding in the Bak rails.

Keep water out - no. If you look at this thread you can see attempts to block water at numerous points with additional weatherstripping: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/rambox-only-tonneau.2651/

You can also see a revised Bak rail system apparently in beta but the existing rails worked just fine on mine.

New info on these MX4 Tonneaus covers.

If the rail system in the back of your truck is unfinished aluminum, their system will work.

If your rail system is black anodised like mine, their system won't work. I got this info from BAK.

They tell me apparently my rail system is an Upgraded Mopar Accessory.

Geesh. This whole thing feels like they just don't have covers for the rambox version nailed down 100% yet. I'd love to get a cover sooner rather than later, but I think it may be smarter for me to wait until spring. By then maybe more covers will be available and I can see which ones are having the most success in keeping rain out and installing easily.

I have a Retrax Powertrax Pro and am having all kinds of problems. See here for details: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/retrax-powertraxpro-mx-interfers-with-rambox.6037/
This is the first I've heard of issues with the Retrax - without going through the whole thread, are you in contact with them?
I have connections there as I worked for Truck Hero for about 3 years and Undercover truck bed covers for 8 so I can dig down and find out the truth behind the issues and provide a realistic time frame. My #1 goal is to provide folks with quality products and the $ comes after. Please let me know if I can help at all!
