My truck was updated today. The What’s New page on the UConnect screen said there were no release notes. So what has changed besides the surround sound being turned off? My truck has been running fine except the shifting has been a little sluggish and the MPG is around 15 for my normal country driving.

I have the same question. Crazy how there's no release notes anywhere I could find.

LOL that was a good laugh this morning. I do as well. I literally thought I was going crazy the first time it happened. I thought it might be something with the automatic headlight dimming feature. Turned that off and tried again and it still did it.

Just got a software update on my uconnect and it now has games and apps like sudoku. My kid said that's cool Dad but you can't play the games on the passenger's screen so it's useless. It is useless, passenger can't play the games with the vehicle moving either and I don't see games in the uconnect replacing anything someone can do with their phone. What's wrong with these product developers SMH.

I'd been trying to get the key fob(s) paired/synched to the profile settings on our '25 1500 Laramie 4x4 without much success. Over the weekend, a Uconnect update came through and I accepted it without much consideration. Now each fob links to the associated profile and are working and behaving as advertised! Coincidence? Maybe, but I'll take it!

My profiles are doing just the opposite since the update. One day it loads profile 2 which I never set up. The next day it loads my profile that Inset up with my fob. All situations I have the same fob in my pocket. Agitating as heck!!! Wish it had never updated.

Can anyone explain the driving mode function to me? Like where does it show what driving mode I am in? When I press the button, it instantly changes the driving mode. I find this ridiculous that I can't view the driving modes first, and then select one. I was driving on the road and tried to view the driving modes and it instantly put me in 4wd. What am I doing wrong?

I ageee on the menus systems. GMs is significantly easier to do what you want while not spending a lot of time doing it.

Ford’s ecoboost drive modes is very easy. I understand in the premium Ram dash it’s also somewhat simple. It’s just the 7” dash where it’s shoehorned in.

2025 SST SO Bighorn Level 2 Night Edition. I’m 9,000 miles in now. Everything’s been great for the most part. Added nerf bars and an undercover flex tri-fold cover. The only issues have been some of the intermittent electrical gremlins that most every truck seems to have these days:
- it will not remember non-music volumes (phone ring, phone call, navigation) no matter how many factory resets, profile recreations, or overnight battery disconnects I do.
- occasionally CarPlay will not work
- occasional backup camera blue screen (only twice so far)
- random language changes to Italian and changing of horn on 2nd lock press setting.

I knew going in that did have some of those little issues sometimes. Overall it’s been an excellent truck. Very happy.

Hi @RamCares . I thought the thread below would be my answer, but it’s no longer updated, unlike the OP post’s intention. Is there a change log or release notes for 2025 RAMs with Uconnect? Nothing to denote changes appears on screen when an update happens. This is frustrating. Thanks

I've seen others say they have gotten an update, but mine hasn't updated yet, at least that I can tell. The software version hasn't changed.

I think I may have the update their talking about, as I have the “apps” icon at the top now. The weird behaviors still exist though. I know when it loses my language and horn settings because when I get in and start backing out, the backup camera screen warning is in Italian.

And I also agree with the earlier post about the added games being useless. Maybe move whoever is working on adding that stuff over to fixing the settings we actually want.

Exactly. They need to fix the things that need to get fixed then worry about the bs stuff.

Actually, my success was short-lived. I'm back to having to manually select profiles whenever my wife was last to drive.

Not sure this will help, but do you park inside a garage and leave your truck unlocked? My wife's BMW would sometimes do this if I drove her suv. I noticed that if I pressed a button on the fob, like lock it before grabbing the handle, then it would always know to switch to the correct profile. But if I just walk up to the car with the key fob in my pocket, it would sometimes change and sometimes not. I think when we leave the car unlocked, it seemed to add to the cars confusion. My Ram stays locked outside, and I haven't had any issues with the profiles, but I am the only one that drives it anyway and only have the 1 profile created.

Yeah, there is probably some trick to getting it to work more consistently. Try using the fob to unlock as you approach the truck if you have keyless entry. Worth a try.

I am starting to wonder this same thing. my 25 ram since the update seems to only not load my profile when the trucks in the garage next to the wife's Buick. although she keeps my extra fob in her purse she walked right by my truck after she came home last night from her dads. I don't really have any idea, but I am going to pull her fob and put it on the other side of the house. my issue for 3 days has only been first thing in the morning and always in the garage. when I start it at work it loads the correct profile. what really aggravates me is that when you switch the profile back to the correct one manually sometimes all the stuff doesn't reload in the radio. I wish my truck had never updated and I am new enough to the Ram Brand I don't understand how all this stuff works yet when it's working properly let alone when it's all over the place. I am about to just restore all defaults in it and start over like a new truck. but just thinking about how long it took me the first time is a frustrating thought.

Have you ever seen the YT Channel “Project Farm”? He’s done vehicle air filter tests (very comprehensive and scientific) and K&N actually doesn’t do great… just saying.
