Put some WeatherTech Flaps on yesterday, was going to put in the bed mat but they sent me a Bed Rug instead of the Impact mat I ordered.
Got the Windows tinted last week. (Front Sides and Brow on Windshield last week, along with the Gator Tri-Fold Pro). Front_Flap.jpg Left_Side.jpg

Is that ahead of the air filter in the intake system? What's its purpose? Maybe catches biggest items before filter like moths and dandelion seeds??? Sure looks restrictive.

Most of the comments tend toward charcoal filter to catch fuel vapors after the engine is shut off...

Would it be required to be in place when having state emissions testing done at license time? In early inspection days, the Oregon DEQ inspection use to check fuel filler neck for tampered "unleaded only" restrictor and use mirror for catalytic converter inspection under vehicle. I guess today if vehicle computer is happy with emission readings, the inspection should pass.

Installed:
Bed Extender Handles and Pins
OEM Step Side Kit
Oil Catch Can

Is that the kyostar can off of ebay? If so, how did you find the install?
A couple of my parts seemed backwards... had to dig some nuts/washers out of the parts bit to get it fit correctly.

Its a Linesracing from Amazon. It came scratched on the top. So I just polished it up a little. No problem with hardware. It mounted up fine. You just have check the orientation of the baffling dip leg.

Its post air filter. And I tried to blow air through it and yes it's very restrictive. I just used a screwdriver to pop the super flimsy plastic rivets holding it on, it's like they wanted you to remove it easily. Good for another 1mpg for sure or another 10 hp with the Pulsar tuner ;)

Could that post air filter possibly be for water intrusion? Many after market open element filters offer a cloth like cover to prevent a certain degree of water into the intake. Just wondering......
