2019 Ram 1500 Limited

$65,900 MSRP (Invoice $60,215)
$59,687 PP (preferred Pricing)
$13,687 Trade-in

$46k out the door

My trade in was not worth $13,687. They offered $10k originally, I was excepting $11.5 on the high side, they moved up on the trade value instead of lowering the new truck price.

$2.5k in rebates offered, I took 0% for 72 months instead. Total discount if I didn't take the financing was $8,713 and then probably add at least $1.5k on the trade they aren't going to recoup. Adjusted I would say it would have been a total without financing of about $10k off or so.

They had to get it from a dealer 3 hours away, that dealer offered it at about $1k cheaper, but not worth 6 hours of time and gas, etc to drive down there.

Ended up ordering my 2019 Big Horn 4x4 Sport, since I couldn't find one in Blue Streak without a ton of unneeded features and/or unnecessary dealer adds (I can wield a ScotchGuard can as good as the next guy). Yeah, and I had to have a RAM Box.

MSRP: 51,360
Dealer Discount: 6,477
My Price: 44,883 (includes destination charge)
FCA Incentives: 3,750 (not including any at delivery, so this might go up, fingers crossed)
Final Cost: 41,133
OTD: 43,715 (TTL plus $699 processing fee)

It was interesting (actually disheartening) that dealers that I had been talking to ghosted me as soon as I mentioned ordering since they didn't have what I wanted on the lot.

Was wondering if anyone can chime in here and give me an idea of average/good/great deal this is.

2019 Rebel Crew Cab

Looks like I’m being quoted 7% under invoice, and almost 13% under total MSRP, before any discounts/rebates, plus TTL

Am I interpreting the numbers correctly?

Any thoughts as far as the deal itself? This is without any trade-in factored in, although the dealer knows I *may* trade in a car, but right now I'm leaning towards selling my car privately (he knows of that too).

Ha, I recognize the handwriting! That person is a straight shooter and that is a good deal. You might do better, but it will take a lot more work on your part. You will have to decide if it is worth the battle. IMHO.

Here's the deal I have going right now.

2019 Laramie
msrp 54,545 and I've them down to 44,750 plus t&t. That's with them adding a trailer brake. I think I've got them down to a fair price. What do you think?

Opinion on the these two quotes? Build is attached.

$46,085 w/ rebates
No other dealership add-ins

The other I have:
$46,269
They offer a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty however. They also said they'd beat the 46,085. That's like 9k off MSRP which I feel is pretty good.

Seems like a good deal to me.

What dealership is this? I'll be ordering in the next 2-3 weeks, starting my email and phone call blasting soon

The way it looks, 9 to 10 off msrp is generally where everyone is at... theres no reason to feel ripped off.

Comoare to GM and how they arent giving more than say 2, MAYBE 3, and youre looking at so.ething to feel pretty good about with that figure.

What dealer is this? If I could find someone around 7% below invoice it puts it right where I need it.

search the board for Koons. Their standard quote is 7% off invoice + rebates on an order. Apparently some people getting this matched elsewhere. My local dealer just basically told me to screw off when i inquired about getting a similar price. Some folks rave about the service at a smaller dealer, but my experience (with several brands) is that the bigger dealers will try so much harder to make you happy with the purchase.

So I got the quote above from a high volume dealer. When I ran it by my local dealers, one of them literally said he had never seen figures like that in 10 years of selling RAM trucks, and has no clue how I got a quote like that. Said I should go ahead and sign those papers ASAP. HOWEVER! He did warn me that if I intend on LEASING the car, this figure is probably too good to be true, and I should expect the numbers to change significantly at time of delivery. My question to anyone who has gotten one of those 15% under MSRP type of deals AND leased his truck – did the dealer hold his end of the deal when the time came to sign final lease numbers? Or did the numbers all of a sudden changed when lease terms were finalized?

My high volume dealer told me yesterday he can’t quote me lease payments because lease terms change from month to month, and he also needs an actual VIN# in hand to get me that figure – which won’t be before the truck has left the factory. To me it sounds as though his deal only holds if I buy the truck. Am I wrong?

My understanding, and I could be wrong, is that leases do not count toward any of the dealer's sales figures. So they typically cannot offer the same "sale" prices on vehicles that are leased because they don't count in any of their vehicles sold targets.

The reason that some dealers can offer such large discounts is because they get "bonuses" from the factory due to selling so many 1500s, or selling so many total vehicles of any type, etc.. and that leases fall into a different category.

and yet the HV dealer insists that the bottom line number (15% under MSRP) won't change regardless if I buy or lease. The only thing that changes are lease rebates and rates at time of signing. I get the last part, I just don't get why he won't quote me on a lease payment - even a rough ballpark. I just want to know what I'm looking at, in terms of monthly lease payments (even if it's based on today's rates).

I was told the same thing and that any rebates/discounts and/or lease deals would be applied at the time of delivery, so things can change. Which would make it difficult to work out a lease package now for something that would look different at the time the truck comes in and you go work out the paperwork. It creates a liability for them because anything they get on paper, they would be held to. I'm no lawyer, but I would imagine they could just make you sign some sort of acknowledgement that the numbers could/will change and what they provide is just an estimate?
