To be truthful, *I* didn't do it, the Safelite Glass guy did:

Freakin' gravel truck threw a stone on the freeway and was more than just a chip, it cracked my windshield.

So now I have a new windshield, correct Ram part number to match my VIN.

Dave

I sympathize there.

In Feb 2017 I was driving my 6 month old 2016 1500 Limited and saw a sanding truck coming. I slowed to 75kph (about 45mph) and pulled to the shoulder. That truck flew passed me at full highway speed and pelted me. A buddy tells me when he needs a laugh, he watches the dashcam footage of it because of my swearing.

Anyway that truck got me for damn near $10k in damages. Destroyed my windshield. Both headlights and a foglight needed to be replaced. Several holes in my winter front. Bumper took a **** kicking. Cracked the mirror cover. And of course, paint.

The rear aiming cam even caught a rock about the size of a silver dollar fly over my box.

And of course....despite have the dashcam footage the company responsible (Carillion) refused to due anything, the traffic department said "go through your insurance" and the arbitrator said she personally agreed with me because they obviously never screened what they loaded onto the truck...but her hands were tied by the rules.

I have to hunt for it. I thought it was on my OneDrive but it wasn't. Thought it might have been on my server at home.....nope. But it might actually be in my work personal folder (since so much of my dealing with that happened during work hours ;)) Worst case I'll have to reach out to my buddy and see if he does still have it....would kinda like to see it again.

That said, the UNRATED version is long gone.....I pruned it to only include the one expletive....just for effect...for the arbitrator. I even did a slow mo version so you could here all the impacts and a slo mo ffffuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkkk! LOL

I purchased a new one on the 19th. So yesterday I put the running boards and back flip tonneau cover on the new 2022. Also window vents. Bug shield should be here on Saturday. The Laramie is way nicer than the loaded Bighorn. 3:21 gearing so cruising at 73 with Econ mode on. Gas mileage has improved. Maybe it just needs broken in but the 2021 seemed a little smoother. Not sure if I hear a faint hemi tick also

Went browsing for some accessories, and I realized that this is how I feel when I search by vehicle and the ‘Make’ drop down list doesn’t show “Ram” and I have to go back to the “Dodge” category to find it.

I didn't order, I bought off the lot; but the only regret I have is not finding and buying one with a 3:21. I'd love to be in Econ mode at 73 mph.

Added those fake carbon tail light covers. Was on the fence. But they don’t look bad. Needed more black to match the 3rd tail

I got some new tires….wife said she can’t tell a difference. 🤣🤣

Heres the new versus old, new ones are Firestone Destination A/T, while old were some Bridgestone highway tires, and both the front ones wouldn’t have passed inspection, as the outside edges were worn down. So next will be an alignment.

It’s not my dd lol.

But Avalon king ceramic coat really helps keep it shining, not much sticks to it, so a quick foam wash and most of the crap comes off.

I don't have the slo motion version anymore.....but Youtube can do that easy enough ;) Just wish I had the full HD version of it still....but this was what I shrunk it down to for email (only place I could find the videos)
Also noticed that it actually happened a year after I thought....and the date is wrong as the battery in my BlackVue was shot and I hadn't soldered in the replacement yet....but hey, minor details lol

At roughty 3 seconds you can see the traction boulder fly over the truckbox in the rear vid.
