What did you do to your Ram today???

I don't have the slo motion version anymore.....but Youtube can do that easy enough ;) Just wish I had the full HD version of it still....but this was what I shrunk it down to for email (only place I could find the videos)
Also noticed that it actually happened a year after I thought....and the date is wrong as the battery in my BlackVue was shot and I hadn't soldered in the replacement yet....but hey, minor details lol

At roughty 3 seconds you can see the traction boulder fly over the truckbox in the rear vid.

So, my wife is not amused by my new ringtone

That sucks. I won't complain about the salt brine on our roads any more after watching your video.

The highway department used to sand (gravel) our roads in the winter, but I've never gone head to head with a truck like you did. Now they just spray salt brine on our main roads and sand (gravel) the side roads that are in the hills/mountains.

@RIRamGuy If I could find the video that always would get my buddy in stitches I think we would both go down a notch lol My wife hates when I swear and though she was upset about the truck too, she was laughing at my rant (she was with me)....put Happy Gilmore to shame. :ROFLMAO:

Wife and I are both navy veterans I have watched her tell off a preacher without even flinching🤪

Removed both front air dams after nailing it on a rock last time out. Adds a bit of clearance and looks better too. Now to find a skid plate to protect the engine gap. Think I saw some having luck with Dethloff? Maybe Shift and grins was working on fabbing one?

Anyone use a USB C instead of a standard USB for CarPlay? I’ve had issues with CarPlay always disconnecting with both USB C to lightning cables I tried. I used a standard USB A cable for about 5 months problem free, will switch back to that. Just wanted to see if it’s a common issue or if it’s just my truck

Could be the cable you are trying to use. Not all cables are created equal. Some cheaper cables are only meant to be charge only cables and don't have the ability to pass the data needs for carplay/Android Auto.

I use USB-C to Lightning for two reasons: I envision a future where USB A no longer exists, and it charges (on the Ram) at 18W instead of lower (10 or 5, I’m not sure). Anyway, I haven’t had any problems with it except when, as @HSKR R/T suggested, the cable goes bad. Which could happen with the USB A cable, too.

The two I tried were both Anker cables, used those over the Apple cable because they are longer. Will test the Apple USB-C cable and see if that helps

I use Anker cables, too, and they’ve served me well. If no cables work, maybe it’s the ports. That would suck, so I hope that’s not the case.

You can get longer Apple cables too. I have a 6’ one.
