Who is complaining about spending $1,400 on LED lights ? I'd do it in a heartbeat if mine didn't come with LED from the factory. Best $1,000 I ever spent in my life. I absolutely can not stand the Big Horns with the Halogen lights. I've noticed 2022 Laramie trims with Halogen lights now too at the dealerships. Yuck ! 🤮
Your opinion. Many dont mind the look and would rather spend the 1400$ on other mods.. to each there own!

I've never seen a Laramie with Halogens. Are you sure they weren't Big Horns?
The LED's must be really scarce! With Ram deleting the option from Big Horns and adding a delete for $495 on Laramie. I ended up upping my trim on my order to Rebel as i wasn't able to order PLG on a BackCountry.

Bet this is it. Chip shortages, etc all having a factor here.

I went option 3 - replaced the OEM halogens with the Ultra 2 low beam LED and the Ultra 2 high beam LED and swapped the halogen turns to a brighter LED so they wouldn't get washed out. Ended up being about $545 through Headlight Revolution and couldn't be happier with the end result... although holding a couple flashlights out the window would have been a huge improvement over the OEM halogens.

So now i've landed on VLAND units since the OEM Headlights are still backordered. I had some credit card points + giftcards so didnt cost me anything but $40 out of pocket. Ill see how these are.

Seems im going backward from 3, 2...

Which VLAND headlights did you decide on....the reflector or the matrix ones? I installed the Matrix ones over the weekend and so far so good until last night when one of them went out but is now back on. Waiting to hear back from VLAND to see what they can do.

Reflector ones. Im sorry to hear this happened and not what I wanted to hear. How much work was it to put them in? Now im worried if I should even unbox

It took me about 1 hour to get everything off and to the point I could install them. Another member on here have the reflector ones and has had no problems with them at all. I think the issue with my are the ballasts.

If I had halogens I would go with option #3. I have done this in other vehicles very successfully. Yes, the stock setup is nice, I just know I am going to regret the day when I have to replace one.

Get a replacement bulb from Amazon. Read the reviews and get a decent one. Make sure you fit it properly. Adjust your headlight. Never worry that it looks yuckie to the other Ram guy because that is childish and it looks great from your drivers seat!

I haven't seen the post yet in this thread. There is always someone bashing replacement bulbs because he did it and could not figure out that they must be secure and indexed properly to get the correct beam pattern. You know, carrying on about blinding drivers, safety hazards and all sorts of nonsense. The post will come soon, I am sure.

After my 2013 and 2015 with the halogen's, when I got a new one, I was determined to get the OEM light package. I've seen the difference and it is so much better and they look good over the "bulbous" eye look on the halogens. AND, living in MT it is truly imperative to have good headlights so you don't hit deer. The new ones are worth their weight in gold they are so good compared to the old halogens.

Three times over the last couple of years my lights have saved me. On my 2015, I had an aftermarket bumper with extra spots and literally stopped about a foot from a big bull Elk who just stared at me down by Gardner MT. I have a daily driver Renegade with horrible halogen headlights and so put some bright spots on the front and they let me see so much better and on numerous occasions I seem them way out ahead and slow down. And remember, when you see one, look for the rest, they are never alone and they try to get close to one another so if you see em on one side, there are likely others on the other side, often mothers with small ones who will jump out... It is a constant thing here in MT. Constant. My wife's Cherokee has the auto brights thing, I really like that. She has the one with the super high rated headlights.

Helena... We visit both places in the winter as that is the best time to visit Yellowstone. We avoid the park like the plague during the season...

Good call!! We lived just outside of West Yellowstone 9 miles north on Hebgen lake. Winter got the best of us after 33 of them!! My Wife was the education coordinator at the Grizzly Wolf discovery center. I was the local Frito lay sales rep. We have a good friend here near cocoa beach and we visited here in the Winter and he visited Montana in Elk season! Finally threw in the towel and purchased a great home in Florida after selling our home in MT. I went from driving power wagons to 1500’s! My wife had a Rubicon and now drives a CR-V!!! Yes I miss Montana in the summer through Elk Season!! But today was 60 ish here and 0 there!

LOL, We are still loving it but I know what you mean. My wife has the Discovery Center license on her Cherokee and we stop every year and will be there this coming weekend Xcountry skiing/snowshoeing. You should have held off on selling. The Prices here have gone absolutely crazy on homes. I mean like unbelievable. I still want a Power Wagon though...

So I tried this first as the most cost-effective. I bought what I was told were quality LED bulbs ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08N115RKB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details ). They were not. They were sh*t for me, frankly. Got them all installed and had one that flickered, and another that simply disconnected from its mount ring because they were just snug-fit to the bulb (to make them more universal). After that exercise in futility, I tried again to order OEM headlights but my order was cancelled due to backorder and lack of any knowledge of when. I finally settled on Option 2, and bought the VLAND units: ( https://www.vlandus.com/products/vl...LiWKpQeXRJRwnr6Qka2L2Cx9xSnjNT8EaAgICEALw_wcB )

So far so good. The only complaint I have is the beam adjustment works less than stellar. I mean they are not OEM quality headlights but pretty damn close. My other concern is how long they will last but time will tell. If the dont last, I wont be so much upset by the cost as I will the having to remove all the parts again to replace. Anyone whose had to disassemble the front to install headlights....curious to know how easy the bolts came out? On mine, a few of the "quick-nuts" broke or spun on the backside so it was awful to get the grill off. Very minimal quality put into the components and designs of our trucks. Sucks.

We did great in our sale!! Moved to Florida purchased a bigger home and still have a lot left over from the sale!! I bought 2.2 acres in 1990 for 13 grand!! Built a home on it for 90 grand!! Sold for 7 times that much. I miss buying power wagons and rubicon’s!!!! No need for them in Florida!! I also miss harvesting Elk!!! I have a hard time paying 4 plus dollars a lb for inferior ground beef!!!
