Working on the swapping my truck from 26 gallon tank to 33 gallon. The vapor tube 68307831AB along the frame rail above the fuel line was about 4 to 6 inches short from connecting to the purge hose 52029908AB which comes from the vapor cannister. My truck is a 2020 1500 Laramie crew cab with 6'4" bed. Trying to figure out the part number for the correct vapor tube. Possibly needs to be longer cause of the longer bed? Any help is much appreciated.
I would recommend referring back to post numbers 489 and 491 in this thread. I suspect you need part number 57008597AA which would be about 6 inches longer than the 68307831AB vapor tube. Be sure and look at the right side of the vapor tube in the pictures and compare them to your original vapor tube.

alright new to the forum so forgive me. I just took Delivery of my 22 Rebel I ordered it through the dealership and speced the 33 gallon gas tank after 3 months I finally got it but noticed on the window stick it was a 23 gal tank. So the dealership discounted me a little over a thousand bucks. From there I called a few dealership and the one I purchased it from all saying Chrysler said it wouldn’t fit. And I have a 23 gallon tank code NF5P with the 5 additional gallons code YGEA (grand total of 28). Just wondering if anyone knows why it won’t fit and if they’re just being lazy.

There just lying, plenty of Rebels with 26 and 33 gallon tanks. Also, unfortunately you only have 23 gallons. The extra 5 gallons on sticker is actually just 5 gallons of gas they shipped the truck with.

I appreciate the help, I’ve only had time to skim this forum but the more and more I read the more confident I see that this can be done. From what I’ve been told more other Rebel owners in the Facebook pages is because of the third strap. Plan is to enjoy the truck for a few months and hopefully a dealership can be more helpful or I’ll start ordering the parts.

If they discounted you over a grand, you should be able to do the swap for close to that. There’s lots of reading to do here, but it’s all spelled out in this thread. I have a friend on here as well who makes a third strap. Not sure what page it’s on but if you skim through this you will see how it was installed. He’s sold this to at least 7 or 8 members as well.

Update:
So thanks to Rammit, he sent me over the parts he used to swap his Truck to the 33 gallon tank, as I was saving the parts off the mopar store a few parts are saying they don't fit. Specifically the Fuel Line Bundle (52030443AB) and the Vapor tube (68307831AB).
So I did a little more digging and I think I found all the parts for the 2022 model years,
52029908AB-Purge Hose
68408875AF-Fuel Tank
52029909AC-Fliter to Canister Hose
52029888AD-Vapor Canister
I think these cover everything for the fuel system itself. If it doesn't please add the missing parts. I'm hopefully going to get this project started in the summer, just to make sure I have everything in order before I start tossing money around without having a solid answer of what will fit and what won't. If you have recommendations of what else I could do that would also be awesome.

Sounds like you are getting there. I’m always surprised at how many parts they make small changes to even though the truck is identical. Definitely makes things trickier.

Thanks to everyone on this thread for all the parts required, procedures, tips and pictures. This was a much easier job than I expected due to all of the posts. I don't think much can be said that hasn't already been said but I did want to clarify the parts required as there were some discrepancies as I was creating my parts list. Most recently there has been a few posts for the exact parts list needed for the 23 gallon swap but not for the 26 gallon swap. So I am listing below the exact parts I used for my 26 gallon swap.

Part NumberDescriptionComments
68408875AF33 gallon fuel tank
52030458ABstrap (front strap for 33) - fuel tank
06104717AAnut flange hexNeed this for the front mounting strap
68307831AB
57008595AA
tube - vapor (for 33 gallon tank)68307831AB is for a 2019-20 3.6L V6 and 2019 5.7L (34 1/2" long). Although this fit, it was too long for my 2020 5.7L and seemed too tight.
57008595AA is for a 2020-21 5.7L (31 1/2" long). This fit perfectly for my 2020 5.7L Crew Cab.
52029908ABhose - purge
52030443ABbundle - fuel line
52029888ACcanister - vaporPossibly optional as I believe some people have reused their canister from the 26 gallon tank
52029909AChose - filter to CanisterProbably not needed, can reuse existing hose (although the 33 gallon tank hose is slightly different)
52029964ADskid plate 33 gallon (73" long)Optional - If you don't have the skid plate currently you also need a hanger (68303523AB) and bolts/nuts to mount it
68418923ACReinforce fuel strap - (for DS body)Optional - only if you do not have the 3rd hanger and want to use this for the 3rd strap

Two parts I did not need were 68312139AB (hose - vent) and 68312140AC (hose - fuel return). These were listed very early in this thread for the 26 gallon swap but are not necessary. Nobody ever clearly stated that they were actually not required although those that have swapped out the 23 for the 33 never listed these as required.
Would these be the same parts id buy for a 21 laramie?

If you have a 5.7L Crew Cab with a 26 gallon thank then yes it should be the parts you need. Some of them may have superceded by now so for example a part ending in AB may now be AC or AD or ???
I have another post (after the one you quoted above) that shows pictures of the vapor tube. You will want to reference that post to compare your vapor tube to ensure it is the correct one - I am pretty confident the one I list above will be the correct one though.

Finally got around to this, my dealer hooked it up for me and did all the programing. Only thing is the "Range Mi" still only show like 360s max. The gas tank is working as intended though went and got it filled up and everything. Curious on how i can reset this? or make it show the true value

Not sure what they programed as the only thing you need to program is the tank size and once that is done your range will be correct. It is a 5m procedure with AlphaODB.

They programed in the tank size but the range mi still stood the same as when I had the 23 haha. Staying in the low 320s even with a full tank

Then they didn't program anything as it updates immediately.

Hmm out of curiosity does anyone have a small guide on alfaobd to update the range mi?
1) First, do you have the items you will need to use AlphaOBD? (You will need an OBD reader that supports Bluetooth, a Security Gateway Bypass module and the AlphaOBD software)

OBD Readers - either of these will work as well as others, I went with the OBDLink MX+
OBDLink MX+ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JFRFJG6 Website: https://www.obdlink.com/
BAFX (for iOS) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078K54MT5

Security Gateway Bypass module - again either of these will work as well as others
Infotainment link: https://www.infotainment.com/products/fca-security-gateway-module-bypass
AUGOCOM https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B082PTBZ6K/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

AlphaOBD software

2) Next we need to know if you plan to use an Android phone for the AlphaOBD software or a Windows computer as the instructions are slightly different.

Huh. I guess I need to do some reading. The small tank is the only thing I really don't like about my truck, and I've half-assed thought about trying to trade it on a new one at the end of this year, to get a 33g tank. If it can be done for around a thousand bucks, I may just do that instead.

That’s where I’m at. The small tank when empty on road trips is annoying. I can imagine towing with it sadly.
