Upfitter Switches

I checked the settings and it looks like I changed and mine are as follows:
Cust.Set.Menu 1-Auxiliary Switches CSM Present : Switch 1-4 Option
LIN and Misc-ASBM Present : No * (I wonder if this is a status or a setting)

I tried changing one of the AUX from latching to momentary through Alfa to see if it will stay, but I doubt it will work. I didn't get a chance to confirm as my laptop died just after I was able to finish and disconnect.

I also see only AUX1-AUX4 settings available in the menu. I was incorrect in stating that I had through AUX6.

I ended up looking at a bunch of other settings and tried a few to see if anything happens. I tried enabling the off-road as well as the performance pages.

Previously I enabled the gear display as well as the CHMSL camera input and they both work.

I would like to get an auto folding mirror function somehow. I have both an arduino as well as raspberry pi that I will play with and the canbus modules when I get some time.

Would this work for you? I know it has the PTO button, but, if AUX 1-4 are all that can be enabled, it may work. That same seller has two other variants of the commercial switch as well.

Is it possible to use an alfaobd and get aux switches directly on the 8.4 screen. If so where would you connect the lights to?

Does the TRX use the same upfitter system as the 2500?

Rhondatheram - To answer your question, Yes and No. Yes you can get the switches added to the display on the 8.4" screen, but No I don't think anyone has been successful getting them to function. I was able to select the switches but they don't stay in the changed state. It is unclear, by me at least, as to why. Maybe the system needs to see the Aux switch module in order to latch the state.

I haven't pulled the trigger on purchasing the aux switches as I really don't feel like buying something that isn't too cheap, and not having it work.

My 2021 switch panel has only Exhaust brake and Tow toggle . Can I use 68247636AA and make the Exhaust brake to function? Or is there a proper Aux switch panel with Exhaust brake available?

I’m not sure of the part number for the switch bank you need, but here is the VIN of a truck that has the one you are looking for (tow/haul and exhaust brake plus aux switches)- 3C7WRSBL0MG651085. You can give that VIN to any dealership parts department, and they can tell you what part number that truck uses.
The wiring kit won’t do you any good because you don’t have any of the aux wiring connectors on your truck to plug any of the wiring kit into. You would need to swap out your entire left dash harness (which is actually mostly in the engine bay) to gain all those connectors because the aux fuse/relay box is part of that harness. Since you have the CTD, you already have the aux fuse box (because it houses 3 your relays and fuses for the cabin PTC heater), so you need to custom populate the missing aux wires/fuses/relays/outputs into that box you already have. There is a member, I believe, on the HDRams forum that can custom build you a harness to add those wires. Check out this thread-

Is the aux wiring connector gonna be the same as you posted previously?

If you’re referring to the wires in the switch bank connector I referenced in the linked post below, your truck already has those six wires populated, and they terminate at a connector at the driver footwell.

There’s no “modules” for it. It’s literally the switch bank, and a fuse/relay box wired up like any other switch on a relay with an accessory (with the aux switch output wires completing the ground circuit on the relay coil). An HD switch bank will definitely plug right into a DT truck, fit...
