I tried to modify my order and was told that it wouldn’t let my dealer make the change- I’m in “D” status with a vin. If you try and succeed let me know. Thanks.
I changed my order a week after I had my VIN and no issues, I'm in D status as well

I was specifically told by Mark that my order could not be changed or modified. Also, how do you check this "D" status? Through the dealer or by calling ram chat or some other way??

I was told something slightly similar when I inquired about a color change which was just that changes are usually rejected by the factory.

First of all I'm new to all this too. I checked with ram chat the other day (Knowing full well nothing was happening with my order but wanted to check out ram chat)

This is how they responded:

"Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process. The parts required to build the vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, order will be scheduled for build."

I asked if that meant "D" status and she replied:

"My apologies we are no longer provided the codes only the descriptions so I am not able to confirm. Is there anything else I can assist with today?"

So maybe only the dealer knows.....I sure don't!

Question for the gallery. If you have an order already and have a vin and want to add a item like the multifunctional tailgate would you be able to add it.
Yes, I did 3 weeks after I go vin

If the Ram has not been scheduled for production, changes are allowed.

Can they simply switch from producing 2021s to 2022s without a plant shut down? I'm wondering if they keep making 21s after last week's shut down how easy it is to switch to the new model year. From what I've read it was a vacation shut down, not a switch over? I guess maybe it's relatively easy to switch since there aren't any body/interior changes.

They’re calling it the standard “vacation shutdown”, but I have it on good authority that the 2022’s WERE scheduled to start right after the planned shutdown. Nobody really knows when the 2022’s will actually start.
I am not aware of any major changes to the product line that would necessitate retooling, so would suspect that they can roll into the 2022’s fairly easily (some different parts go in, of course, like the Uconnect5 modules).
By the way, I see that you’re listing a 2022 Limited without eTorque. From everything I’ve heard elsewhere, I was under the impression that this configuration wasn’t available. Have you confirmed that?

When I went through the order process, I was able to order the non-etorque Hemi in the Limited trim. I still have that build sheet from the dealer. But, you CANNOT get the standard Hemi if you want the 10th Anniversary Edition. That only us offered with the eTorque or Ecodiesel. Which is how I ended up with an Ecodiesel

When I first built the truck I wanted at a dealer (6-30) the only 5.7 available was the eTorque. When I was actually ordering from a different dealer (7-19) he told me both 5.7 engines are available. My configuration preview shows 5.7 without eTorque and the salesman said he was able to submit the order. Maybe Ram made standard 5.7 available after June 30 or it depends on the dealer. The dealer I ordered from is bigger.

If it's a sold order, you can get a regular hemi. If a dealer was ordering for stock or just pricing one out, only the etorque is available. At least that's my dealer and I discovered during the ordering process.

FWIW When I ordered 6/18 (hopefully it went in then!) I could and did order a Limited without eTorque.

Update for new additions (@Pi Esq., @MarkParr, @Panzar07). There are a couple more that have expressed interest, but I need the VINs in order to add to the chart.
I also revised a few things:
  • I pushed back the assumed start date from 7/26 (today) to 8/2. I'll continue to push this back weekly, until we see production start - or see something definitive.
  • I created another set of data points at 4 weeks from Buildsheet, and revised the shaded area to reflect a "delivery window" of 3-4 weeks from Buildsheet. This should make it a little more clear as to when we would all be hoping to take delivery.

Ha...I can't wait...the excitement is killing me.

But im just waiting for @thenachobro and @bebrown1075 and what they say because they are one of the first 2 on here that ordered. Once they can list their updates, it will help with the metrics.

Has anyone reached out to Mark Dodge yet today to ask if they have an update? I don't want to bombard them.
