bummed to see this probably wont work for the non-nav 8.4. i went ahead and enabled with my tazer, going to wait some time + a few keycycles to see if i get lucky, but i’m not optimistic.

i am glad that i didn’t order the parts until i confirmed i could enable, though. jealous of you guys with it active right now!

Ok 2021 Rebel i removed the two existing wires in 21 & 22 and placed yellow positive in 21 & Black negative in 22 using Tazer JL front camera kit. And Tazer DT programmer to enable it. Thanks for all the help on here i couldn’t have figured it out without you people.

Requesting some help from the team here, 2021 built to serve with 8.4 Nav I’ve enabled the cargo camera using Tazer DT. After I hook yellow into pin 21 and neg in pin 22 I lose the bottom button and radio changes to blue theme with the camera plugged in and powered. I removed a grey and blue wire from pin 21 and a yellow and great from pin 22. Once I remove the wires the radio boots up fine with the option page and blue camera page. Thanks very much. I’m powering the camera off of a switch pros setup.

Adding photos, seem to lose the “controls” button when camera is connected. Using the naviks camera like many others in the forum.

Jimmy07 i don’t know, unlike most here I literally saw and bought the truck since we needed a new family vehicle. It’s a bighorn built to serve with tech 1, small instrument screen, tow and off road package.

Don’t have alpha, enabled through the tazer DT, have trailer brake controller, just checked my window sticker, aux trailer not listed. Any advice on what to do either way?

I lost a lot of apps when i disconnected my radio & it takes a few hours to get it back unless you do a Tazer full reboot then i got it back right after reboot was done

I have a 2020 Bighorn 8.4" Non Nav. Just checked Alfa and CHMSL Camera was completed succesfully. Does this mean I should see the button soon and I got lucky? If I see the button, does that mean it will work if I get all the hardware?

I’ve got to wonder if it is actually the software/application version on the non Nav 8.4 the makes the input work on HDs, but not 1500s. Do you, or anyone else, know how to bring up the dealer menu on the 8.4 non nav to view the software version?

Thanks for the help, turns out my naviks camera was bad...extremely frustrating. Returned through Amazon and swapped for the photo. Camera quality is not stellar but 80$ cheaper than the z automotive and works well. Grateful for the help from the forum.

I’m glad you found the problem that must have been frustrating to know it was the camera. It’ll be great i don’t know any Front camera as good as the rear factory one, but mine isn’t bad just not great

Anyone have a clue what the existing wires in 20/21 do? Pulled mine last night and the head unit went black. Put them back and it works again. It's possible I pulled loose something else in there, but I'm doubting it based on how the connector functions.

FYI not 24/25 on my 20 rebel either, blue screen.

Pin 20 is not used on any radio. Pin 21&22 are camera inputs, and not present on 2019-2020 Ram DTs. Make sure you are counting the pins correctly. If I had to guess, looking at the connector upside down, one could mistake pin 11 for pin 21. Pin 11 is canbus c- (yellow/purple stripe), which would definitely take out the screen.

Meant 21/22,and I think you've guessed correctly again sir. I pulled the yellow and the white next to it if I remember correctly. I'll dive back in shortly.
