Courtesy Delivery to Local Dealer With Factory Orders

Many dealers are unwilling to give customers a low price. If you can not get a good price locally you can look to the low price, high volume dealers used by many forum members.

If there are no recommended dealers near where you live you can have the vehicle shipped, do a "fly & drive", or possibly have a courtesy delivery of factory orders arranged.

A local dealer may take delivery of your factory order and do the PDI (pre-delivery inspection). Dealers do receive compensation for this.

Some smart dealers realize that by their doing your courtesy delivery, they get to met you, impress you by their service and attentiveness, thus win your future servicing business, and/or maybe even you might buy another vehicle from them later. It is up to each individual dealer if they want to accept deliveries. It is also up to the volume dealer if they want to arrange them.

You can find a list of known volume dealers in this link to see if they will arrange the delivery LINK

Phillip Olson has agreed to arrange courtesy deliveries closer to you as he is able. You would need to put down a $5000, non refundable, cash deposit on your factory order. Your truck would go from the factory to a local dealer for pick up. Phillip would handle all the paperwork.

Interesting, obviously the deposit would go against the selling price. Is there any other cost for this service? Seems like it could save a lot of $ paying for shipping from dealers like Bud Clary and Mark Dodge to local destination.

The standard factory destination fee covers delivery to any dealership in the continental U.S. It does require more work for the selling dealer.

Thanks - according to your link we're currently in the "least discounted months" but I've only been looking at Rams since Jan/Feb so wasn't sure how the current discounts compared to previous rebates for example this past December.
December had Employee Pricing Sale. This is a good sale that gets you a price 5% below invoice plus $200 before incentives/rebates. A lot of us who do our research are getting more than that year round however.

Funny...I had a 2019 RAM Limited w/o ET and drove it for about 2 years. Bought a 2021 Limited with ET and it feels no different to me at all.
Why did you switch out? I forget, if you said before... lotto winnings?

Yep...won the Powerball worth $58M right before Christmas last year and decided to buy another RAM. I thought the Lambo and Ferrari would be too pretentious and didn't want to upset the neighbors. My 2019 was the White Ivory and I got tired of it and wanted a fully blacked out truck. Also wanted all the latest tech too. If it wasn't for the high trade in values and the employee pricing, I would have waited until the fall and bought a 2022. However, the deals were far to good to pass up at the time so I bit the bullet and loving my new loaded RAM w/ET more than I actually thought I would. Next truck will either be a 2023 TRX, 2023 Raptor or an Electric truck...so much is happening so fast in this industry it's hard to say what we'll see in the next 2-3 years.

Still shopping around but think I'm not getting any good deals around MD. Tell me what you think about these numbers.

So, I just ordered my new Ram today. After working with 17 dealerships, I went with Aaron at Mark Dodge. Mike at Lakeland Chrysler in FL came within $1300 but the other dealerships were thousand off! Both Aaron and Mike were extremely responsive and seemed straight-forward. I don't think you can go wrong with either option. Of course my truck hasn't been delivered yet, so I guess I'll see how it all works out though. To order from Mark Dodge, I just need to pay $1K deposit, provide copy of DL, and a screenshot of my credit score. I also could have let them do a credit app or a letter from my bank confirming funds. I ordered a Ram 1500 Limited Night Edition. MSRP $75490, sale price $64821, doc fee $219. I'm locked in for $500 rebate and 0% for 72 months. Aaron said we'd review the incentives at time of delivery and go with the better incentives. For those of you who placed an order, how do you track the production of your truck? I've seen others follow their build from Ram. Will I get an Email from Ram with information on tracking?

How do I know what invoice price is?

Ask them the Configuration build sheet that has all the pricing on it or you can go to Edmunds.com and get basically what the invoice is. The dealer should have no reason not to show you the MSRP and Invoice numbers. If you really want make sure they have the HB (Holdback), FFP (Friend&Family Pricing), and EP (Employee Pricing).

Spot on @Snofire!!!

@Horty222 ...just ask to see the invoice and they should show it to you without hesitation.

The better of the two deals is the MSRP of $53,150

45,625 is a 14.15% decrease of 53,150.

They could do better, especially on a Big Horn.

Tell them you want starting price at Invoice. Pay $50 and get a TreadLightly then it locks you in at 1% under invoice. Plus you can still get the rebates.

Tread Lightly is $100, Access Fund is $50

How do I know what invoice price is?
You can find invoice pricing for your model and all factory options at one of these websites.
