I attached the sticker but here is the breakdown you were talking about...
MSRP: 64,490
Bottom Line Price /w destination: 54,172
Dealer adds: Non Negotiable @ 4,200
My Trade: 9,000
16% off MSRP. It sounds, to me, that you may be able to do a bit better and get to 18-20%. Worth a shot, but 16% is not a bad deal by any means.

What are the non-negotiable adds??? That's a TON of money for add-ons

I have a few questions:
For those who have purchased from either Dennis Dillon in Caldwell, Idaho or Dave Smith in Kellogg, Idaho can you tell me if they sell for less than invoice on an ordered truck? Or maybe a better question would be how much off MSRP have people been able to achieve?

Also, in general, (percentage wise) how much off MSRP is Employee Pricing? And, finally, how much off MSRP is invoice in general?

Thank you
Cant speak for the dealer however invoice is 89 - 91.25 percent of MSRP. In some cases the margin between INV and MSRP can be less depending on the demand for the vehicle.

The physical non negotiable stuff included...
1,800 for a knock off lojack?
700 for line-ex
300 fro wheel locks
300 for window tint
1100 for some aftermarket running boards (not mopar)
The other crap like paint protection and other weird warranties I was able to turn down.

My thoughts...lojack is a RIP off and I'd make them remove it. LineX is a GREAT spray liner but $700 is about $150 too high. Wheel locks are like $50 on Amazon. Window tint probably cost them under $100. Running boards can be removed and that's a ton of money for running boards. Paint Protection and other BS stuff is just a pure profit item and is worth ZERO. If they won't negotiate on these, I'd walk unless you are in LOVE with this truck and don't mind the current deal.

If I was in that situation

-Line X = overpriced when i had it done in my previous truck it’s was $450 for the mid grade level and guaranteed the dealers getting it for way cheaper then that since they’re probably use said shop often

- wheel locks $300 ain’t no way. $100 at most

- window tint I’m sure they probably only tinted the fronts or did they do the back 3 windows

-running boards.. probably the cheapest they can find if your paying $1000 they better be retractable

Sadly you went ahead and pulled the trigger, had you stuck to your guns on the add on I’m sure they would of budged of you just walk out and shop elsewhere, thats how the dealer makes additional profit. When I bought my Laramie they tried that extra add on crap. Only one I paid for was the $75 they charged to tint the fronts even though I said ok redo then anyways it was only $75 and not worth worrying about. Wheel locks aren’t those usually included on the window sticker?

The discount MOST folks are getting is between 14-18%. Not sure I fully believe those that say they are getting 25%, but anything between 14-20 would be a very solid deal. If you are at $66K (with your trade) on a $71K truck...that deal $ucks!
They were at 56k otd I wanted to be around 50k otd. Never met in the. Chit they never sent over a work order for a deal. I would have jumped on a 52.5 deal. The truck has been on their lot since October. Oh well. Lets see if they are working on deals tomorrow.

As I previously stated in my post ....I didn't take the deal and I agree with your take on the add-ons... you are spot on.

Been lurking on this forum for a couple of weeks here. Had the goal of getting a new truck by the EOY since I've been sharing a vehicle with my wife for a few months after selling my old truck a few months ago. Anyway, was able to work out a deal local-ish to me in the Kansas City area that made me pretty happy. Admittedly, is the truck everything I started out looking for, no. However, it had most of what I wanted so I was happy to accept it rather than push my luck. The initial inquiry was about a week before Christmas and this was an 11th-hour deal last night so I'm sure that played into on the dealer's end for EOY numbers. Details below:

2021 Laramie Crew short bed 4WD, Lvl 1 Laramie equipment, Sport Pack, 12" UConnect, MultiFunction Tailgate, and Bed Utility Group.
MSRP $59,780
Selling Price: $51,717.000
Rebates: $4750 + $1500 Ramtrucks.com Popup = $6250 total Rebate
Price before Taxes/Fees: $45,467
Out the Door Price: $46,366 fees included (Taxes not factored in)

All said that's 13.5% off MSRP before or 24% off MSRP after rebates but without fees. Now that I'm a 5th gen owner, look forward to being on this forum a bit more.

Congrats Niko! However, I am very confused by your pricing. You say selling price was $51,717. Then you say you got $6250 in rebates. Then OTD is $46,366. What was the final price you negotiated, with rebates, but before Tax, Title, Tags and fees?

Sure, so there was the $695 Acquisition Fee, $199 Doc Fee, $5 Plate fee. Subtracting those from OTD price gives a price before fees/tax but including rebates of $45,467. Also, worth noting that in my case I chose to do a lease. That said if it was a conventional finance deal where I live in Kansas and this dealer is in Missouri I would have needed to write a check to the state of KS when registering the truck for 9.5% rather than paying the use tax on my monthly pmt.

Got it! Was wondering where the taxes were buried? You're gonna love your truck...ENJOY and WELCOME!

I will again say that Mark Dodge in Louisiana has some phenomenal pricing. I bought my truck from them 1 month ago today and I'm seeing they have even better pricing than I got. They have the Rebel at $12,000 off MSRP. If I bought today, I had a $1500 consumer cash that's good until mid January, so instead of my $11,500, it'd be $13,500 off!!!

They also have a couple Laramies and Limiteds at $17k off.

Regarding the non-negotiable add ons, the wheel locks are $50 retail direct from the parts department. I also just bought the best window tint and did all windows, even the back, and paid $275. The front windows only, with ceramic tint, would have cost $100.

Any chance that anybody from Mark Dodge wants to send me some cash back? If only that was an option.

Check out what Carvana, Vroom, CarSense, CarMax, etc. will offer. I’ve traded in two cars to Carvana and got as much or more than any dealer was offering for a trade. It was a relatively quick and easy process and they gave exactly what they estimated online.

Thanks, I'll check into it. I did try the KBB instant offer and it was only 39k and low trade value is 43k

KBB instant offers are insulting. Carvana paid me close to $5,000 more than the offer from KBB. My Carvana offer for my Porsche Cayenne was also $1,300 more this December 2020 than when I checked it in July 2020. The car actually gained value. Interestingly, it also sold on their site prior to full photos being listed for $6,990 more than I got from them. Point being...Carvana is in it to make $. You can get more with a private sale, but the Carvana process is extremely quick & easy & they had the best offer that actually increased over time.
