Well just got truck back for another 20+ days in the shop. Going to see how long this run will be I hope there is no other failures. I love the truck but it’s getting ridiculous; I’m afraid to even take it anywhere then be stranded with family on side of the road. Together truck has almost been in shop for 2 months so we will see.

Sorry to hear. All this newer tech can sure be troublesome. Even with a good warranty, you are held hostage to parts supply, tech knowledge etc. Imagine what the new fully El pickups will be like when they come out...

Thanks for the note. Curious, why are you upgrading your 2019?
Some would say "Stupidity", LOL. Had an 07, 2010, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019 and now a 2021 on order. I seem to have a history? If you can afford a new one do it. That way someone else can afford to drive a nice used truck. I remember giving my banker heck years ago for driving an old vehicle when he could afford new ones. My used trucks always sold well locally except the 2012 Longhorn that went Stateside because it was over 100,000 miles. Plus I always liked the latest toys and gadgets on my vehicles.

We have two eTorques in the immediate family and zero problems to date. No worries or concerns as the battery is covered for 8 years and we also purchased the Mopar MaxCare to cover the majority of the vehicle (with certain exclusions) to 8 years/85,000 miles for $1175.

Good question. I'd like to know as well.
I would do eTorque again for sure just for the accelleration off the line with 9,000+ Lbs in tow. I have lots of towing miles on my truck which made it a great item to have (Over 15,000). I need to find some tires that hold up to the heavy tongue weight of towing next as I almost completely toasted my Nitto rears in one year (18,000) miles and they are down to 3MM, rotated them to the front and the front to the rear which have about 5-6MM so hoping to make it through winter on them then replace in summer.
Side note: I am probably the worst abuser of Payload numbers and treat my truck like a Honey Badger which is why I am eating tires.... LOL

That’s a great deal on the warranty, mind sharing where you bought it?

And you can utilize the Discount Code "PAYINFULL" to get an extra $365 off but you have to pay it in full at the time of purchase. Or you can utilize DAMON2 to save a couple hundred but then you can finance it with FCA (no credit check required) for 0% interest for 12 months.

I've purchased from Ziegler (chryslerfactoryplans.com) for years and they are a quality group. They sell ONLY genuine FCA MOPAR factory extended warranties and not the 3rd party aftermarket crap.

You and me both - loads of people on here will jump if you say you towed more than X because "Ermagherd you have a limited! You're going to exceed your payload!" ...truck does just fine with 3.92's regardless of the internet police.

Super happy with my eTorque so far

Same issues as others. My 19 Laramie Limited backfired a few times before the pretty lights came on and the charging voltage dropped to 11.4v. 5 days later, the dreaded battery pack diagnosis. Supposedly this Friday they will be done. I already have the spreadsheet open and am documenting everything. Lemon Law kicks in after 30 cumulative days of unavailability here in Washington. Sad that I have to even think like this but, seems like it has been a source of continued frustration for a few on this post. Appreciated the sharing of pain so that others may benefit from the wisdom!!!
So, after another week of no status, I finally drove the 30 miles to the dealership (called first and told them I was on my way). As soon as I arrived, they informed me that, after 17 days in their shop, my truck would be ready on 3 hours. I did find out that after a diagnosis of the 48v battery pack on 10/27, it took them until 11/2 to order the part. Needless to say, I was a little ticked off and have to really place the lions share on this particular dealer. Unfortunately, all the RAM dealers in my area have horrible service reviews so, I am stuck!!!

I will pick it up tomorrow and hope it is all fixed. At 6800 miles I certainly hope this is not just the beginning of many more issues.

I feel bad for you but I’ve been there. Mine was in the shop less than two months after I bought it for an etorque battery issue. Took weeks to diagnose then weeks to get the part. It spent almost two months in the shop. Best of luck.

I love my truck and never had any issues with the powertrain...
I'd definitely buy the eTorque again.
40K Miles and no major issues... Just small stuff, but i'm pretty picky so...
I'm a happy camper...

Oh... Except for that one time i killed the power-pack while jump-starting the 12v battery and the truck sat for 30 days.......................................

Hopefully this idea from Hyundai catches on - you never have to jump-start; you just press a button and the lithium battery will take over for the lead acid.

I don't get it.. you have a 48v battery that can start the truck in a blink of an eye but if the 12v is dead, you are stuck... stupid system.
Thank you Hyundai for this great and complicated innovation...

Wait...you can't jump start a Etorque engine the same way as a non Etorque...???

Technically, It's perfectly fine.
I, personally, wouldn't... if my battery dies again, I'd get a new battery and swap it, no jump start for me....
One time killing the Power-pack is one too many times for me.
Also, my warranty is up so.... I have nightmares about the 48v battery dying again...

Bought my 2021 Limited 1500 Hemi etorque Sunday. It was towed in Tuesday afternoon with 110 miles. Not a good start and my first RAM. Fortunately it's at a good dealer; we've bought 2 Jeep products from them before and had good experience. Late today the diagnosis was a bad 48V hybrid battery. Unfortunately they are now having to try to figure out how to get a replacement, but it sounds like it won't be easy. Definitely some pretty bad stories on this thread. They have 30 days or my state says they have to buy it back or replace it.
