My dealer is willing but they will need an OK. Right now they won’t do anything because FCA says there is no real fix for it.
Thank you for the response. I kindly recommend submitting your information at https://www.ramtrucks.com/webselfservice/ram/emailpage.html to receive a follow up from a specialist on this concern so that they can assist with next best steps based on your last dealer visit.
I am having the same issue with my 19 Ram Laramie, grinds when making slow right hand turns, I thought either tires or something in the power steering or rack and pinion. Have a service appointment in a couple weeks.
Hi @josh_4184 - If you would be interested in an additional layer of support while working with your dealer, we are more than willing to get you connected with a specialist for further support through that process. Please do not hesitate to follow up with us via private message.

Having same issue, dropped off at dealership yesterday. Today they say it's a problem and say FCA cannot fix at this time, I should go pick up my truck and wait for a fix. Never dealt with something like this before, should I pick up my truck with the issue still and wait for the official fix?

Thanks!

I have the same problem and was told the same by the dealer. Seems like this is a common problem. Hopefully they find a fix soon.
I would be interested to know how many people noticed resolution of the problem after changing tires.

Unfortunately our team here is only able to work with customers located in the United States. You can find the team in your region by visiting https://mideast.mopar.com/en/customer_care.php.

I have the same issue and my truck has been in now to service with a case number from Ram just to be told it was a ground issue and that there was a bulletin out for it. They corrected said ground issue and said that should take care of problem, needless to say nothing changed. I just bought this a week ago at 32k and now at 33k with my basic warranty about to expire. I can't believe I'm having this type of an issue from a 2019 so called CPO with only 33k on it. Once I got 35k I was told the issue is on me cost wise since the so called warranty expires. So far not a fan of Ram's care or CPO very disappointed in this.

Reading through the thread, I'm wondering if the issue is similar to one we had with our Chrysler T&C. I listened to the recordings of the noise and it was identical to the noise in our van.

In my case it was a malfunction of the anti lock brake module that would occur when accelerating from sharp right or left hand turns. The sound was identical to the buzzing/grinding noise posted.

In our case the dealership and independent mechanics never figured it out. It was out of warranty when it occurred and the dealership charged me $500 to replace parts that didn't fix it. In our case, after the noise there would be a loss of brakes until the vehicle was restarted. It was very random and scared my wife to the point she stopped driving the van.

The issue went away after I replaced the battery. Whether the electrical system simply needed a reset or the battery voltage from the old battery was too low to effectively operate the ABS, I do not know.

Turning sharply does cause the wheel speed sensors to report different speeds to the ABS controller, so there is a relationship there.

Just a thought.

I had the same issue also. Took it to my local dealer, not where I purchased the truck they had the truck for 4 days. Returned the vehicle said they could not replicate the issue. I have never had any luck at that dealer. I recently went to my purchasing dealer. They took the time and determined the rack needed replacement. Done under warranty has been two months since and all is good. Find a good dealer and service department.

I'd say if that did work it's probably just a bandaid because it changes the ride it might cover it up until it gets worse. The real issue is in the rack as many people have experienced.

I had the rack replaced 4k miles ago. The vibration/grinding was gone. Unfortunately, it has come back on right hand turns. Same vibration.

We can’t move forward with our dealers because FCA is not providing a fix. They won’t do anything unless there is a TSB

I have the same issue. The most asinine thing about this is not the problem itself, but the fact that a company who has been building trucks for decades doesn’t know how to fix it. Unacceptable.

Is the frequency (pitch) of the vibration constant, or does it vary with speed while you are turning?
