I've got the same problem... VERY loud noise at freeway speeds when there is a hard crosswind. Sounds like a train horn. It's intermittent and usually only lasts a second every 30 seconds or so under the right conditions.

Sounds/Feels like the door is flexing and the wind is blowing past the seals as a result.

Has anyone had any luck with a dealer fix? It's nearly impossible to reproduce in most conditions, so I know there is no way I would be able they would be able to reproduce.

So I go in for a second attempt with a second service department to fix my noise issue. Since there seem to be many different issues I will refer to mine as the Morse Code Teapot sound that is most definetly NOT a malfunctioning Park Sense. 2019 Ram 1500 Limited, no sunroof. Normal mirrors.
Hope this link works.

I've had my truck for a year and experienced this noise for the first time this week. Driving on the highway in west Texas winds it would make a high pitched tea kettle type sound for a second or two.

I picked up my 2020 Limited black appearance on friday, drove the 200km home and yep I have wind noise which seems like it is coming from the driver side a pillar area. I read this entire thread, lots of different noises and potential fixes. i have the noise regardless of recirulation is set too. only once i get up to say 70km/h.

any fixes I can try at home? i detest having the dealers work on my truck if possible.

My 2019 Limited with sunroof and tow mirrors has this exact same "howling" sound. (Thank you to everyone that captured it on video - I tried and failed) I mentioned it to my dealer and they said that they had never heard of it. With so many reports from owners, will there be a TSB issued for this? (Looking at you RamCares) I'm headed back into the dealership tomorrow for radio and rear brake updates. It will be interesting to see what they say to this noise now ..

Hi supercanadian,

If you do end up having to address this with your dealer, we suggest contacting Canadian Customer Care to have this documented. You may find their contact information by clicking on the following link and scrolling down to the "Canada" tab: https://www.fcagroup.com/en-US/footer/Pages/contacts.aspx.

Hi boomtastic,

As our team here is not mechanically trained, we are unable to speculate on this inquiry. However, please be sure to keep us updated on your dealer's findings. We are just a PM away if any additional support is needed while addressing this with your dealer.

Appreciate the reply and explanation. I discussed the issue (and this board's findings) and the service writer was unaware of it. He did talk with his tech who acknowledged it was a "known issue that is being addressed", but they had no short term resolution. I requested that it be documented as I am nearing the end of my 3/36 warranty ...

Thank you for the follow up, boomtastic. Mind following up with me via private message? I would be happy to document this formally for you.

If you document something that is an issue under warranty is it covered after the warranty expires ?

Hi yellowboy,

I am not able to make any guarantees, as vehicle concerns are handled on a case by case basis and they need to be formally inspected by one of our dealer partners to ensure whether the concern could be covered. Formally documenting now does allow details of the concern to be easily referenced by our internal teams should you need to address it down the road.

anyone have wind noise from drivers side door up top by the corner. I can pull in with my hand and it goes away but if I lean just a tad on the door it has some serious wind noise.
I have that exact issue with my 18 ram 1500, feels like the door is flexing, truck is a dealer now. Did you find a repair yet?

I have a 2019 Lonestar and the wind whistle is so bad I almost can’t drive the truck. At 60+ mph it is louder than the radio sometimes. Tried the recirculating button but that did not help at all. Please someone help me fix this. Had a 2015 that was great with no issues at all. I did have both exterior mirrors replaced due to the motors going out on both of them.

I have a 2019 Lonestar as well and have this whistle too. It only seems to happen when there is a strong cross wind or head wind.

For what it's worth, comparing the noise in my new RAM to my 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon is like comparing apples to oranges. This new Ram is so quiet to me, and I love it. As for wind noise, none for me!
