Automatic high beams and Automatic rain wipers.

Also just tried to activate auto high beams on my 2020 Rebel that I picked up over the weekend, same deal, headlight switch on auto and Uconnect setting on, but no confirmation message in my gauge cluster when flipping the stalk forward.

Appreciate anyone who could provide details on a fix.

I have the same issue. Just bought it last Friday... in the dealership now...

If you look a few posts above you will see that the fix is to go to the dealership and have the system reset. Shouldn't take more than an hour based on how fast they did mine.

Headed to the dealer on Friday. Planning to ask if there is a way to DIY reset this. I'll report back

I have the same issue... my 2020 Rebel 12 going back there Thursday evening so they drive it and confirm...‍♂️

Didn't think Rebel's had auto highbeams, is that something new with the 2020 and the 12 package.

That could be why our Rebel’s auto-high beam is not working because it’s not programmed right?

I have a 2020 Limited with the same problem so not a Rebel issue. I cant get down to the dealer for a bit so hoping a few more with the same problem report that is was a quick reset or something simple.

All - just got the truck back from the dealer, after some convincing them that it wasn’t user error, they were able to reflash/reset the BCM which has corrected the issue. I can now leave the wiper stalk forward and receive the auto high beam activation/deactivation message.

Mine were tested and said to be functional as designed. On my drive home (during the day) my lights kicked on and my high beams were on haha... Back to the dealer with a video this time and a repeated request to reset the module.

Also wanted to add that the BCM reflash has given me an added bonus... my throttle response has completely changed for the better. I had been noticing issues with sluggish throttle response and had previously tried the battery disconnect, which helped, but now after the BCM reflash it’s MUCH more responsive.

I had the same issue with the high beams on my 2020 Limited. I showed the Service Manager this thread and also told him I thought this was a 2020 issue. He could not find a problem with the software in the BCM, so he erased the software and replaced it with the exact same software and it’s working now. He has no explanation nor do I. My wipers worked fine from the start.

Same issue here with the auto high beams on my 20 Limited. It’d be great to be able to reset from home. Don’t need to take a couple of hours out of my day to get it fixed at the dealer.

I also picked up my 2020 Limited 5 days ago. No auto high beams. Heading into the dealer this week to see if they can also fix the problem. Maybe Ram will update their service managers on this issue. An awful lot of money and now I have to convince a service guy to fix the problem and take hours out of my day.

@RamCares, the issue is not really that anyone needs escalation help. So far from what I am hearing the dealers are getting the issue fixed if you show up. The issue is why are trucks leaving the factory like this? It is almost like the EOL station that initializes all of the modules is missing the headlamp module and the dealer is the one who is doing it. Either that or the dealer setup program is wrong and is not initializing this module. Dealer wouldn't know any better because their program probably just says that the program ran successfully, so they are not really to blame. Needs to be addressed with Ram engineering.
