I have read on other threads where some are discussing pricing on 2020 models. I too am trying to decide between a “great deal” on a 2019 with all the options I want vs ordering a 2020 MY. I thought I would see what others are being quoted for a 2020 MY. Attached is a quote I was given this week on ordering a 2020 Limited. Right now I’m not finding a 2019 with these options any cheaper than ordering this 2020.

Brianziggy64 do you mind to share from what dealership you got this invoice? Also where the 7% comes from? is it a fixed % of discount by the dealer?

7% below invoice. Wow, where is this dealer? That would be a smoking deal. They do make some back with that $799. processing fee. That is insane. (but palatable if you get 7% below invoice).

That's a good deal as far as dealer discount below MSRP. I agree with Oliver392...that processing fee is highway robbery. It's a good deal but even then anything over about $120 for processing is too high. You should see what that $799 includes because realistically you are getting almost $700 less of a discount off MSRP than you think. My processing fee was $85 when I bought my truck.

Yes I will share..... the dealer is Koons in Washington DC and salesmans name is Craig Benner. He had another post on here the other day dropping the price another 1% off! He and this dealer seem to do a lot of business on here and most that have bought from him say he was by far the cheapest OTD price. Right now no local dealer in Atlanta will come close to his price. So I think I may be doing business with him soon on a Limited. Attached is his post from Saturday. It has his contact info also. Good luck!!

My dealer ordered a truck for me yesterday and sent me the build sheet. Did you guys negotiate price before the order or afterwards? My dealer is saying we will meet once the order is confirmed. I made it clear I am not paying sticker and I plan on getting 5-10% off the invoice column on right side or I have no problem walking and then finding a 2020 on the lot. Just curious on some experiences here since I never ordered before. Thanks

I haven’t ordered yet. Craig at Koons was very upfront with his pricing as you can see by my first post in this thread. He laid out what the price would be plus any rebates being offered when it comes in. This was his initial offer. Then Saturday he added another 1% to the 7% for a total of 8% under Factory Wholesale Price (FWP). So far I haven’t found a dealer in the big Metro area of Atlanta that will match or come close on a 2019 or 2020!!!!

Yeah, that $799 processing fee is the standard here in the DC area. When I got quotes last year from 10+ dealers around here (I ended up ordering from Craig at Koons), I think the cheapest was maybe $750 and there was one that was around $850, if I recall correctly.

Thank you Brianziggy64! I just contacted Craig at Koons...

Please let me know if you pull the trigger and order from him and how the process went. I’m probably gonna order from him later in the year. Thanks!

I’m also a resident of GA and would be interested in how purchasing a vehicle out of state works. Ultimately you need a license plate in GA. There is a mandatory TAVT tax of 7% I believe. If you purchase in another state do you also have to pay mandatory taxes in that state only to pay again in GA?

This depends on each individual state's laws. Some states have a clause that if you not a resident and do not plan on spending more than 3 months in the state with the vehicle, you are exempt from the purchasing state's tax, and will pay tax when you register the vehicle. Other states charge the customer tax regardless, and then you'd look to see if GA allows you to submit proof that tax was already paid so you don't have to pay twice. Dig into the Department of Revenues websites of the purchase state and registering state to see how the taxes shape out.

While my small phone screen and old eyes didnt pick up a lot of details, id just warn you that the DC dealers will add the $1695 delivery fee onto the bottom of the deal.

I had a Ltd all ready for me, price sounded great (about $5K cheaper than Kernersville RAM in NC where I ended up), however the added delivery fee and the 12 hour one way drive put me off.

I just didn't believe that the DC dealer/sales were being honest about the out the door cost, so I stayed local.

Good point about the delivery fee being added, but don’t all dealers add that same delivery fee to all Ram sales? I thought that was a standard fee that was not negotiable. However their holdback fee and other doc fees are. Thanks!

We bought my wife a Jeep Cherokee from Koons recently and had a good experience. The processing fee was the same as listed. I believe the issue/question on the delivery fee is to whether they are double dipping with it, but based on how it looked on our invoice it appears they don't, or didn't for us at least. They do remove it to show a lower price, then add it back in, but they didn't add it twice.

I'll be going back when they get 2020's with diesels in.

The $1695 Destination fee is standard across the board and is already listed on the price sheet posted by the OP. If a dealer is adding that fee on top (double dipping) then they are crooks and you need to run away!

Starting today, all 2020 Big Horns and Rebels will be 12% off MSRP and Laramies, Longhorns and Limiteds will be 13% off MSRP. That's in addition to any rebates you qualify for. Must be an in-stock or factory ordered truck. If your employer is a Chrysler Affiliate member, you save an additional 1%. Even if your employer isn't a member, there may still be a way to save the additional 1%. Contact me at [email protected] for details.

Just found this on another Thread that was posted yesterday. Just passing this along for everyone.

needs to be double that off

Off of a “2020”? I agree it would be nice to get double off that price but this is pretty good on a 2020 MY. Most dealers won’t even consider taking more than $2K off a new 2020 right now!
