Yeah I've heard the about the sway bars and mine was a driver's side body bushing mount. They replaced it and I haven't had the sound anymore.

Well i got a voicemail saying it was ready but he didnt say what the fix was, and of course everytime i call he is away from his desk. it seems half the ppl on this thread got it solved with the body mounts and the other half sway bar. maybe ill luck out and they did both. will write back as soon as i find out what it was.

Sway bar end links not available until April 9th!!! On back order---THIS SUCKS!!!! This is the part that can be controlled...fixing the problems. Expediting the fixes to keep happy customers happy with their trucks.

This thread started back in July of 2018. Ample time from last year to present to handle the supply and demand of said parts(the bushings or end links) to fix this ongoing problem to have in stock at dealerships.

I know depending on the part(s) a manufacturer may have more than 1 supplier of that part. This is where I think Dodge can up its game addressing known problems. Yes, quality control from the start through production; but if a problem(s) surfaces once product hits the road, this is where how they handling the problems--change/sway minds to continue with them.

Understanding by the time a recall hits officially everything has been already dissected and those recall parts ordered etc...in the thousands understanding that takes time (alternate manufacturers) and the bean counters reports should cover everything from experience by now right? So if it has made itself to a TSB or the growing list before it becomes a TSB then those parts should be in the oven baking (being ordered up) to handle as the vehicles come in.

To say in this case end links are on back order, manufacturer of truck....not doing their job as efficiently as possible.

I have not read through entire thread yet, anyone use any other aftermarket end links out there to fix problem?

Okay got mine back this afternoon. They had to order the parts for the tsb mentioned. They also replaced some other mounts on the body and torqued all to spec. Drove about 50 miles already, lots of turns and parking lots, havent heard anything yet, so it seems to be fixed but will still be cautious to get my hopes up. Picture below shows what they did.

Can we get a mod in here to split this thread into two topics, one for the Body Mount TSB and one for everyone else who had sway bar end link problems, which do NOT relate to the TSB?

My apology, I commented in this thread as it seemed appropriate based on both problems associated with the noises from down under the truck from what I have read have both issues throughout the 46 pages(I have not read all of them yet). I believe the fix and the TSB were added at a later date to the title. I have symptoms described from both sides of the fence so anxious to see if the sway bar end links fix it totally. If the thread is split, perhaps a link to the newer thread for those that come across it with symptoms that could be either; can be directed to the split off thread(if that happens).

No need to apologize to me my man, didn't mean to single you out at all, just trying to keep things organized for the forum's sake. This thread turned into the TSB thread a long time ago, but obviously not many people are going to dig through 46 pages to find out where it split (I probably would, but I'm a weirdo). The problem is, someone's going to take this TSB number to the dealer and say "replace my end links", and then come back on the forum and say the dealership is crappy, or still have them replace the body mounts when the problem should have been diagnosed properly as end links, or something like that.

Also, side note, noticed your sig, I'm moving to Naples literally next week

No problem man! I should have read them all...normally I do too, so I can relate.

Wow shock to your system from CT to Hot Naples. So, work or ya gonna add to the Q-tip population??? lmao!!! You probably know that this is the quiet coast (westcoast of Florida for others reading this) compared to eastcoast Miami/Fort Lauderdale etc. When I first got down here I had to learn that Q-tips are all the gray hairs that are the snowbirders here during winter months. I used to laugh at them; now if I don't shave it off I am one too!!!

Hope you love to golf, fish, beach....beautiful stuff....somebody has to do it while all those shovels are working overtime with the snow up North!!! Welcome to SWFlorida!!!

My truck is clunking on both sides... any bump - clunk. Took it in once and they tightened the end links, which of course did nothing for the clunk. It's going in again next week, not too optimistic. I'm at 1500 miles and really starting to dislike this truck.

This is my work truck, so it is off road all day and I have to hear these damn clunks constantly.

You need a rattle in your headliner just behind your head. You'll soon forget about the clunks.

My truck has 926 miles and I heard the clunking today. It got worse quickly. I am fortunate to have a shop with a lift, I put it up in the air and checked it out. I found the left sway bar link loose at the sway bar. I tightened it nearly a complete turn. I had to use 2 wrenches, an 18mm on the nut and an 8mm on the small hex of the link joint.

YES! I can feel it through the seat
Just bought a Ram 1500 Rebel and I've got the clunking too. Very loud under the seat - also hear it in the backend. Started out really loud, now faint but every time I hit a bump or turn. Took it to the dealership. They said it was a known problem related to automated steps on the truck (which my truck does not have, have nerf bars) so BS. Am taking it back to the dealership where I bought it. Only has 670 miles on it. Also, blue tooth periodically cuts out. $64000 problem at this point. Have had several RAMs, this one is a headache.

Just got back from dealership. Parts came in early!!! So got the front sway bar end links replaced---so far no clunking on my drive back home. Also got the second recall done. Hopefully that resolves my issues.

Dropped mine off this morning. @RamCares was able to get the parts in early for my truck. Fingers crossed that it solves the clunking and popping.

I'm happy to report that @RamCares was effective at getting the parts to the dealership earlier than expected and the front end clunk is gone after the swaybar end-links and bushings were replaced. I'm sooo happy to have my truck back. I love driving it.

2019 Laramie 1500 here, bought it brand new in the first week of March, just over 2k miles now and just started noticing the "clunk". Only noticeable at low speeds and when turning. Most often notice it turning in and out of parking lots and my driveway. My local dealer can't get me in until mid-may for service. What do I need to point out to them?

If it's the TSB then just tell them that that's what you think it is.

If it's the separate issue with the sway bar end links, tell them it sounds like metal on metal clanking and it only happens when there is twisting (swaying, hence related to the sway bar) involved. If they're loose enough, you can open a door, grab the sill and rock the truck back and forth and if someone is looking at one of the end links, you can make the connection between the clank and the sway bar and end link hitting together.

Thanks for the advice. This is my first post to this thread. I’m hitting this issue (at least one of the two issues). It’s not the end of the world for me, since it only happens it situations like @Sconn85 mentioned.

I’m easily above to reproduce the “clunk” noise myself by just putting one foot on the deployable running board and rocking the truck back and forth. Does this mean I need to let the dealer do the fix? Or can I crawl under the truck and simply tighten something up? If this has already been covered, then sorry :ROFLMAO:. In the meantime I’ll go back into the thread and look around.
