Break in mileage? Perhaps get a bed cover? You don’t have a signature with your truck but is it a loaded crew cab with more weight? But my main observation is there is no way the rated MPG was for 3.92 gears. That is an option and I would expect it to significantly affect highway mileage. Maybe not and would be interesting to see what others are getting with that rear.
That argument is mute because I have a bighorn without the etorque and a 3.21 and I’m getting 13.77 mpg on the interstate it’s horrendous.

How fast do you drive? Flat terrain or hills? My MPG drops like a rock over 70mph. Add hills and I'm down to 15mpg or less.

It may be a moot argument on this thread because you don't have eTorque, however in general, it's not. All those things mentioned, plus: cold, hills, break-in and average MPH are all doing to play a factor. 13 on the highway is unacceptable as a norm though. Good luck

One data point does not make a trend...However

I had my truck in last week. The engine, transmission, and etorque controller were updated (like many others on this forum). Over the weekend the mileage seemed a good bit better than usual. It was just misc driving and pulling the boat so I had no good comparison. This morning I drove to work and got 17 MPG. A route,, that in the previous 4 months, the highest I have ever gotten is upper 14s.

Who knows if this is the beginning of a trend or a function of environment (light timing, wind, traffic, etc.)....hoping

I am averaging 17.6 with my Etorque 3.21 gears 4x4. Almost all stop and go driving to work and it will hover around 17 mpg. I got 21 mpg on a trip to Chicago last week mostly all highway.
I only get 13 mpg during city on my 4x4 etrqe 1500 sport Laramie 2019 ‍♂️

Was holding steady at 17.1 with mostly driving back roads and a little driving in town.

Yesterday morning I remote started to let it warm up for about 10 minutes. Little longer than necessary, but I got distracted. It dropped to 16.5!

The remote start is definitely a mpg killer.

I've had a Hemi eTorque rental for the past two weeks (4x2, 3.21 gears), and with mostly highway driving (90%) I'm at almost 24 mpg. I'm in Southern California with 65 mph speed limits, and I keep my speed at 72 mph and use cruise control as much as possible. This week has included trips up the Grapevine (large grade between Los Angeles and the Central Valley), and my mileage has still been averaging right around 23.6 mpg. I'm pretty happy with this truck and the mileage I've gotten out of it. The truck has just over 11,000 miles on it.

I remote started again this morning to take the little one to school....dropped me down to 16.4. After driving to school and back I was able to recover to 16.5.

When I drive highways and maintain speed, I can definitely get those higher MPG numbers. I've been relatively pleased with my MPG since I can tell that driving style, terrain, and remote start all play a huge role. I also found that starting off like an old grandpa/granny also kills mileage. There's truth in starting off more aggressively and getting up to speed faster can help. I've tried both and get much better mileage if I, dare I say, rabbit start.

Yep, the 4x2, 3.21 get the best mileage. So quit renting one and come join the party

Oh this has nothing to do with it it’s a manufacturing issue and they know it finally got to a dealer who tells me it’s a known issue and there are like 5 updates for it there’s even one for the RPMs tuning about 3,000 higher than it should on the highway thus not allowing fuel saver mode to work. And for those who don’t like it you can turn it off on your radio. I for one use mine a lot and expect it to work as designed

I'm starting to feel a little guilty. Some form of Ram Privilege I guess. I ordered my truck to maximize range as I do not like looking for fuel nor the refueling experience itself. I ordered the Etorque, 3:21 gears, tonneau cover, and 22 inch wheels (as I felt they might have less rolling resistance) to maximize range. I considered the F150 diesel because the Ram diesel was not available, but when I saw that it was only offered with a 23 gallon (or so) tank, I shook my head and headed for the FCA dealer. I am amazed at how little attention is paid to range by EVERY automaker except Tesla. Car ads rarely speak of it. For me it is one of the most important factors in buying a vehicle. Tesla focuses on it because it has been one of the major points identified by those competing against it. I can deal somewhat with higher fuel costs as long as I don't have to fuel up that often. This is a trade off I am willing to make. Within the next ten years more than half of us will be looking at the purchase of electric vehicles, truck, suv, or passenger, and even then, if I am still here, it will still be about range!
Same here that’s why I’m complaining about fuel economy. With the same engine and same transmission same rear end and same size fuel tank that was in my 17 ram I’m getting 100 miles less out of a tank and that’s a huge problem in my eyes.

I have 670 miles on my 3 week old Limited 4X4 with eTorque and 3.21 gears. Currently at 18.4 MPG, about 65% in town and the rest on rural or freeway.

Car and driver updated their etorque review with updated data. Their limited with 3.21 and most every option is averaging 14 mph.

I've avg 15 the last 3 tanks but they are first 3 fill ups.. I read that this should get better over time. Ive changed or turned off all mpg related stuff off of the consel. I want to enjoy the truck and not worry about the gas mileage etc.. I just want to drive the truck.

It was a part of a buy back due to a paint problem. You can see all that info here:

and some more info here:

I only have just over 500 miles and it really isn't broken in yet. I did a trip to the dealership today for an alignment and got 20 there. Then drove a little more aggressively coming home and it rounded out to 17.8. I drove a little over 100 miles in total today and averaged 17.8mpg.

My overall started at 14 and came up with 15.5

My previous eTorque truck that was averaging around 17 had just over 3k miles. I feel like this one is going to be right at about the same once I start putting longer drives on it. So far I've just been tooling around the house and that's been killing the mileage.

I love not having eTorque though. The smooth deceleration is exactly what you'd expect and what I was hoping for. Loving it!

I’m so jealous. The only model remotely close to where I live that had the options I couldn’t live without (4x4, Laramie sport, 3.92, 33 gal tank, and no sunroof) was this one with eTorque. Wish I knew better.

There’s nothing wrong with my truck at all. Mileage is fine. Just hate the jerky decel and the lag after start stop.
