Hi guys,
My name is Matt Boesch, I own B2 Fabrication. We are a small fabrication company established in 2008. The company consists primarily of myself with my retired dad coming in to help a few days a week. My wife runs our website and handles the books. We operate out of a extremely well equipped barn behind my house. I have a background in the automotive restoration and racing industry.
We have been making exhaust systems for Ram trucks for about 8 years now, we have over 10,000 of our systems on the road, I have hand welded every single one of them but in the near future we will be using a robot for this task whenever I figure out how to program it! We have spent the better part of a decade figuring out what is important to the majority of our customers and what is not. What seems to be the most important is fit and sound followed closely by value.
We realize someone can easily spend over $1000 for a full cat-back system or a 304 stainless bolt-on that sounds sometimes as good, sometimes far worse than ours does. With us you spend less than $300 (shipped!) and have something that you can install in 15 minutes, sounds fantastic, and will last the life of your truck!
We manufacture our systems using 100% 409 stainless, why not 304? 3 reasons: It is because the exhaust that comes stock on the Ram is 409 stainless, the Magnaflow mufflers we use only come in 409 stainless, and it would add considerably to the price of our systems. Like I said before, we are trying to find a balance between quality and value.
For now we are offering 3 versions for your 5th Gen Ram. The DR-06 with our Oval muffler ($295 shipped), the DR-04 with our 4" Round muffler ($295 shipped) and the DR-05 which is a muffler delete ($210 shipped).
At this moment I do not have sound clips, I will have one later next week for the DR-06.
Our exhaust systems are 100% made in the USA and come with all the necessary hardware / instructions for installation. Because of our small size we usually operate on a two day lead time.

There’s plenty of clips out there of the magnaflow. Make sure to listen to one that is for the muffler only (not the catback) and also make sure it’s the 14” (not the 18 or 22). This B2 Fab product (which I have but haven’t installed yet) takes the 14” Magnaflow and turns it into a bolt/clamp on (with a single cut to remove stock muffler). That’s if you go with their magnaflow option. They also have a more agressive option which uses a Pypes muffler (haven’t heard any clips) and then their most aggressive option is just a straight thru pipe (muffler delete).

I will take some vids when I put the B2 Fab Magnaflow 14” on my truck. Hopefully I’ll get to it within the next week.

Didn’t mean to hijack your thread Matt.

Quick edit. @DonsRam19 a member here has a YouTube channel and he has a B2 Fab 14” Magnaflow. Here’s a link to the sound clip. I believe there is one clip with stock muffler as well.

@B2 Fabrication very interested in the dr-06 The sound from the clip of @DonsRam19 sounds exactly what I want. I am concerned with how loud it is. When you post your stock vs dr-06 clips, any chance you can hold a decibel meter in the video? There are free iPhone apps that do it. Any chance of highway drone? I am guessing the whole system is pretty quiet unless it is under throttle.

Interested in hearing a couple clips of 2 of these models before buying one.
If you look up flowmasters, which is easier to find. The fx & outlaw muffler only bolt ons. Will be comparable to B2s MF and pypes bolt on will sound

Don has started that there is no drone with his set up.

Have had mine on now for a couple of weeks. No drone and only "loud" at WOT. Nice deep throaty tone that will get better after a few thousand miles on her.

So cold morning, you start it in the garage, you don’t hear it in the rest of the house?

I have B2’s 14 inch Magnaflow installed. Great product. The truck sounds like a truck now. But if you want a really agressive level of sound, which I didn’t, go with something else.

Peeps remember your intake set up will effect your exhaust note to some level. Small sure but a difference, yes. Did delete and high flow drop on stock intake, yes some more sound out of stock exhaust. Slight but something. Let’s be real, loud exhaust will still be loud with/wo intake mods. Lol

You want loud, b2 MF is not for you, regardless of intake set up. I’ve thought about pypes set up. As time goes on most set ups get louder with age.

Sorry all. My question was misleading. I’m actually the opposite. I have a Coyote mustang with a Corsa sport catback and airraid intake. The entire house shakes when I start it in the garage on a cold morning. Second gear leaving my house going up a hill you can hear it three blocks away. It belongs on a track not in a neighborhood. It’s a nuisance even though it can be fun. I am trying to avoid that mistake again. I am looking for a Ram mod that gives me some noise when I get on it but is quiet at idle and low flow. Something that is deep and rumble at idle without being too loud. I already tried the intake mod. That does help some at WOT but there is still no rumble at idle. I really liked the sound clips of the magnaflow for the low rumble. I appreciate the low cost and stock appearance of the B2 approach. The only issue: I make that cut it gets harder to change my mind. I am not welding things back. That is why I am wondering what the decibel level is at idle on cold start.
