I order one yesterday and crossed my fingers that the order wouldn’t get cancelled. I received a shipping confirmation with a tracking number this afternoon. PS - the 5% off coupon code posted a couple pages back works and almost covered the shipping cost. Dodgeforum5%
The moparamerica site seemed to have the 82215289AD part in stock at the same price as 82215289AB. I ordered so we will see if it ships.

It took moparamerica a week to respond to my request for a missing bolt in my box (with a big hole). Also, couldn’t find their phone number on their website..had to Google it. Price might be a few cheaper but their customer service sucks.

They were the only ones who had it... You should’ve reached out on here, I had a bolt and multiple nuts that I didn’t have to use.

but they have this on the page for all their parts: "THE ONLINE CATALOG DOES NOT REFLECT STOCKING STATUS", so they seem to just load their system with the part numbers, and not show if in stock or not.

Plus the have a web banner that lists the older "AB" for the 2019 DTs part number as "in stock, get them while they last". Why tell people to order the older part for the new DT? I would think the "AD" is the proper part.

Maybe they are trying to get rid of old stock?

And why do all these part sites from these various dealers still not list the 2019 trucks in their configuration page? Haven't they been shipping for almost a year now? ;)

My order is still "processing" so you probably hit the nail on the head, a part number without any stock that said in-stock. If they advertised something as being in stock that isn't available I'm going to be slightly ticked off for wasting my time. I'll contact them at the end of the day if it doesn't change.

I addressed the missing bolt back on 2/6 when I got the step in the damaged box. Fortunately, I was able to pick one up at Home Depot to complete the install.

I ordered this on my Laramie that is due in any day now. Since you actually have one, I can ask the question of how sturdy is it? I weigh about 350 on a good day. Will it hold my weight?

There were no specs on the install sheet so I'm not sure of actual spec/limit. However, I can say that it is extremely well made with some pretty hefty bolt attaching it to the frame of the truck.

Hi All,

This is Jon from MoparAmerica. I wanted to reach out to the 5th gen folks about the bed steps and clear up a few things about us and the bed step. First of all thanks for all your business. MoparAmerica is run by me and one other person. That is it. Its a 2 man operation out of a dealer based parts department. I am sorry if I have not responded to your emails or not been in contact about your steps or issues. I do all that I can do and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I have recently hired a new person to help me with the growth of my company and get your parts out faster and respond to any issues or question you have. As for your side steps. I only have the AB variant of the steps and that is all that is shipped to me from Mopar. From what I can tell the reason for the product revision is due to the moving of the wiring harness upon installation. Thats it as far as any one in corporate can tell me. There is not a issue with the step its self. The AD is not even linked any more to the AB variant in Mopar's Starparts Catalog. As for obtaining the AD it could be Month or a year before it is released. No one know except the engineers. I do have 17 AB variants in stock at this time. I get them in when ever my PDC sends them and I shipped out 18 yesterday. We do all that we can for our customers and always will. Thanks for your business. If you have any Questions do not send me a message on this forum please send emails to [email protected].

I can attest that Jon is good people and works as efficiently within the constraints he has from corporate. Took him a bit to get me some lost hardware after corporate runaround, but he did.

I’m pretty sure that all of us who have installed one have the AB version.
Order the AB from Mopar America, got it timely, yesterday and installed it with no problems, thanks to the pictures on here. It is really heavy duty and awesome. 2019 Laramie.

I ordered from Mopar America last week and it is shipped expected to arrive next Tuesday by FedEx Ground. It takes a bit of time to get to the left coast. I am looking forward to installing and using this useful accessory.

I'm very interested to see a picture of your box when it arrived. I'm in the east coast. I got the step in 2 days but the box looked like it been around the world. Terrible packaging as others have mentioned here. Somehow it did arrived with the bolts. Hopefully yours will be fine.
