I'm having same issue, road or wind-noise starting around 40 mph on passenger size. Annoying because the window /seals right next to my head on driver side is so-quiet. Sucks to have the distraction of more noise on the far side of the cab ( left to right). Could be me, but it seems like noise gets louder as radio volume increases. BTW , mine has the cab to box seal . Its going in Friday , my rear wall molded carpet surround was kink/twisted under the seat from the factory. dealer ordered the part and sound deadening. I don't have much hope as it sounds more from the front door B-pillar area. I think the front door and rear door or b-pillar is being pressurized. Or the noise cancellation doesn't work all that well ..Dealer already adjusted the horrible fitting door gaps ( leading edge of the rear doors were out further than the front doors catching road salt /dirt. not sure if the adjustment made it worse. I can hear a slight change in background noise when recirc is closed, but its still present on the passenger side.

The 2019 rental ram i had for 3 weeks , that helped me switch from GM was so much quieter. Wish i scrutinized the noises more in this trucks test drive , i would have passed on this truck. It was garbage winter weather both days.. I hope FCA figures something out this is the only complaint i have with the truck.. I noticed on my buddies 2018 ram they have a few more seals between the doors and body gaps and the gap between the doors.

Hi rlsray,
We understand why this may be frustrating. If you would like any additional assistance while working with your dealer to have this addressed, please send our team a private message!

I am starting a new thread about the whistling sound. There seems to be multiple threads on various sounds. My truck had a high pitch whistle that sounded like the mirrors. It was a hole in the driver side fire wall small tiny hole. After two weeks of searching it was located. My dealership worked with the manufacturer to find it. The dealership number is +19109209613 service rep whom I worked with is Kevin. Hopefully this will help.

I still have issues and since the dealership worked on in in early April, it is WORSE. Have an appointment at another dealer next week. With all the people with this, you would think Chrysler/Dodge would actually have a recall. I can't decide to file with the state of TX under the Lemon law or just trade the dam# thing and eat the negative equity. In west TX the wind blows almost all the time and it is miserable having to listen to it because there is no escape.

Hey guys. Been having some weird whistling sound coming from my truck as well. It sounds like it comes from the front right side. It becomes noticable around 40 mph and up. Was messing around with the climate control and realized that when I opened my front vents and turned the fan on, the whistling went away. So I am going to assume there is some sort of wind turbulence where the outside air hits the closed vents that lead into the cabin. Try leaving your vents open when driving at high speeds. Sucks passing buy a nasty smelling area or behind an old car though

Lloyd, as a fellow West Texan I feel your pain. After months and months I think I may have finally had this noise fixed! The dealership took off the cowling and reinstalled/tightened everything up. Today is a WINDY day and I've driven about 40 highway miles with no noise! Just got it back again from the dealership yesterday. Keeping my fingers crossed that this noise stays away forever!

I picked up my truck with new mirrors. Hasn't been windy so I can't say for sure, but I had it just over 90 and heard just a snippet of a whistle. We'll check at normal speed on a windy day. But... I think my mirrors have a different design. I think the mirror is smaller and there's more housing on the outside edge. I don't have a before picture, and just realized that's where I think the difference is. Anyone with an early build limited wanna compare mirror pics? I bought mine in May.

Did this correct your issue? I have tow mirrors, but your video clip sounds exactly like mine

Well today was another WINDY day out here in W TX. Truck was howling as we started home from seeing our son and his family. I tapped the button to let the window down just a bit (maybe 1/16"). Not enough for wind to come in but the sound quit. So maybe for mine it's just the seal around front windows. I guess when I take it in Tue they can try that. If issue not fixed after this next trip, I qualify under TX Lemon Law to file. That will be 3 trips to Dodge service depts. Hope they get it right this time though.

Lloyd,
If if you figure anything out let me know. Mine is exactly the same, it's like a strange howling wind noise ( not really a whistle) on my passenger side. If I crack the window just slightly not enough to let wind in but it quietens down substantially..

Only thing is I've had the seals replaced and no luck..

hello Lydia,

I Have this issue as well as all these people, has any of the attempts from all the people here going to dealers worked?

I just came home from a 12hr road trip and had to hear the hawling noise all the way here from front passenger side.

thank you so much!

just figured i would add my experience. the noise has just started for me a few weeks ago. wasn't there when first got the truck. makes me think something changed.

recirculation option on the AC has no effect. folding in the standard mirrors has no effect.

you can call it a whistle but it is not a high pitch. it is a low pitch. more like a droning noise. I am fairly confident it is wind-related as guests and cross breezes will change the pitch. like others, the noise starts around 40-45mph.

other than the active air damper is there more dampers in the grill? seems like it is possible one of these isn't actuating properly and that creates a place for the noise. just my first guess.

also i don't have a sunroof so no problem there.

Why can't Chrysler/Dodge engineers come up with a fix????. It's obvious with so many having the same problems, dealerships don't have a clue and the sales dept/ management could care less. They've made their money off it.

I could not agree more! it is mind blowing that obviously we all have the same issue and it is a defect that for some of us is a big deal! hopefully @RamCares will report this to ram engineers and can come up with something to get this fixed ASAP! I couldn't imagine how painful it must be from the people from Chicago! See what I did there.. Lol (Windy city)

Yes, also interested in the fix since my last trip to the dealer said it was normal to have that much wind noise.
