What is Known about the Bed Utility Group Options

Interesting, I picked up my truck today. I did not order the BUG but did order the Rambox Cargo Management System. The truck came with both the keyed Ram Divider and the utility rails. The Ram Owner Support Website, which is sourced directly to your VIN, shows a video of the Rambox Cargo Management System including the divider and bed rails. It appears I got exactly what I wanted all in the RCMS!! If you ordered the Rambox Cargo Management System and did not get both the divider and the utility bed rails you should have. If not reference the above video and get your dealer to provide those pieces because you paid for them! I asked my dealer about some not getting these pieces and he indicated every truck that has come through their lot with the Ramboxes got both the divider and utility rails.
So basically I paid for BUG for nothing?!?

My truck is a Laramie trim package, so the BUG would have provided the LED Lights and bed liner. However, you fellas with Limited have the LEDs and bed liners as part of your package so if you also ordered the Ramboxes I'm not sure what you received.

After a visit to my dealer, my bed extender posts are installed as it should have been from the factory. No charge to me. My bed divider was never shipped from the factory. My dealer had to order one from Ram. The divider came in at the same time as the extender posts. When I went to check it out after the install, the lock was missing from the divider! Ram shipped it without a lock. LMAO

Dealer has ordered the lock and Ram is shipping it overnight so I have to go back. The bed step is still up in the air. Nobody will commit to giving it to me yet, but it should be included as I paid extra for the BUG option that clearly states it is part of the package. Stay Tuned!

If they give you the bed step, I believe you'll be the first (to have the dealer supply what we all ordered).

Well I don't get it... I was playing around with the BUG option on the builder. It does say LED lights, Cargo tie downs, and the divider. Doesn't say anything about the steps. I can't imagine the cargo tie downs come with the rambox w/o BUG package. I guess if you got it without ordering it you lucked out.

My dealer just called to let me know they ordered this part which FCA should have supplied with the truck. The parts manager reported there are none in stock at any of the FCA warehouses so it could be a while. He also said this was the reason none of the new trucks were being shipped with this part. He has been very honest throughout the entire process and I have no reason to doubt him, but if this is true FCA is screwing customers because they don't have part supplies. I understand it is a first year role out of a new product, however, FCA has mishandled a wide variety of relatively small issues.

Which part? The bed step?

@Rammer76 I have been figuring this out as well I Ordered a Crew Cab Laramie with the 5.7 eTorque with the RamBox Option on 9/17 without the BUG, due to watching the listed video, so I will post my results when the truck is received. It seems like this stuff has been a huge hit or Miss and no rhyme or reason. We shall see!!!

Well my dealer ordered the studs and knobs for the bed extender but there on back order right now..
Got the extender out of the 1st truck I ordered and he cut a key so I could lock it.

Chasing the fuel cans from the back of the bed is getting old already.. Lol

Picked up the divider today and instead it , shop around I got if from local dealer for $275

How easy is it to install the posts. I’m thinking about having the dealer just send me the parts and attaching them myself if it just requires pulling off a cover and screwing them in.

I think you answered your own question. You just pop off the four plastic caps and screw in the pins and handles. I've not seen any torque specs but should be fairly evident when you've got them tight enough.

Just got my Laramie. With the Rambox and did not order the BUG. We got the lights inside the boxes, the rails with tie downs.

We did not get the bed lights or the divider.

I would start a case with RAM and give my dealership the info you have found here.

From a previous post: 68054996AA (2 ea) 68054997AB (2 ea)

Just got this email from my sales rep on my now month ago ordered pin and handle mounts for the RamBox bed extender:

"I wanted to drop you a quick update on the parts. The supplier finally shipped the parts last week to Jeep to have them repackaged to send to us. The packaging facilities have not yet shipped released anything yet. All we are waiting on is Jeep to repackage them in factory packaging and send them to us. I will keep checking on them and let you know when they are headed this way."
