What did you do to your Ram today???

Yup just have to do the work to get it added on. Or go full custom with one like hagerity. I think ,only because I have not needed to do it, progressive will do it but may need it looked at or some sort of thing. I know when it's time to really get into my S10 and build it the way I want it I will have to get insurance that matches the final result.

I had a grundy (same as haggerty) policy on my car. You have to be careful with those policies as theres a crap ton of exclusions in which your vehicle isnt coverd:
  1. Driving for pleasure
  2. Damaged in a shop
  3. Damaged while being towed on a trailer
  4. Exceeding 5k miles a year
  5. No track coverage of any kind
  6. You have to have a 2nd car that is relativley new (reliable in their eyes)
Theres a bunch of others too. My policy was $630 a year but it was so strigent on the situations that it would cover, that I put the car back on a regular state farm policy. They told me in writting to keep all my reciepts and in the event of totoal loss, they pay for those upgrades/modifications

Update on my transmission.

Worst case scenario, or maybe best case as this might actually get done faster. Raw materials found and I'm sure MOPAR will want a breakdown further but I'll have to wait until tomorrow when they can start getting in contact with people and go from there.

My hopes are they can order a replacement ASAP and MOPAR doesn't try to drag this out with them breaking everything down further and further. I do not want a rebuild.

raw materials found should result in a new tranny being put in and not rebuilt, due to chances of abnormal wear.

I'm sure it will warrant a new one. But with my luck... Anything goes lol.

I guess this is actually best case scenario. Meaning probably better than just doing fluid and hoping it's not the valve body, then having to do the valve body and hoping it's not something else etc. etc... Eliminate the chasing.

But it's the first time in years I've been without a vehicle so I'm hoping it won't take too long. Maybe trying to get individual parts would take longer than the whole transmission but I have no insight into that stuff anymore especially post COVID. Last time I ordered a crate engine it was at my doorstep in a week. That was 12 years ago.

I'm still sticking to my guns that if all goes well I'm rewarding the truck with some exhaust mods. But probably nothing fancy or expensive.

Alpine speakers going in today. Tradesman in sig line. Amp next if needed. OEM was scratchy from new and getting worse.

Sounds like noise canceling is off now. Anybody sure if the tradesman needs to be unplugged? Could it be reversed polarity? I thought the exhaust was broken on the way home. If someone could point me to a link about this, I’d appreciate it, thanks!

best of luck man
and probably visit every temple, church, mosque, tribal witch, and whatever else there is may help too lol
we always say that to our long term customers when issues keep on popping up on their vehicles 😂

Haha well, a final update for a while they are ordering a transmission. No ETA at the moment and I was given the truck back. It's drivable and I'll take it easy but fingers crossed it doesn't take months to get.

They showed me the pictures and I should have asked them to email them to me, but there were some pretty big size chunks of clutch material in there and a lot of build up from the smaller particles. Definitely not typical at 20k. So at least the warranty didn't fight them and I have the truck back.

Hopefully within a week or so I can get some kind of ETA. I'll try calling mid next week if I don't hear anything.

ouch. keep calling them and keep bugging them to stay on top of it lol

Installed some mud flaps. Hope this helps with snow and ice being thrown onto the side steps.

My Gatorback's didn't lol. Holy crap these things sling it all over the place. Granted, if the weather is bad enough not much will stop it. But mine get absolutely caked during winter if there is snow on the road.

Still, I'd rather have the flaps regardless. Throwing rocks at other vehicles is just a d*ck move.

I pulled it out of the garage to make room to work on one of my other Mopars. Got it run jng, and hoping for some decent snow the next few days to give it a try.

1979 Chrysler Sno Runner. High performance model. Has a whooping 10hp and claimed 34moh top speed
Finally got snow here in Nebraska to take it out to play. Still needs some work. Doesnt want to stay running once engine gets warm. Was fun while it was running.
