What did you do to your Ram today???

lost my truck due to people not knowing how to drive. i put so much effort and time into my build just for someone to ruin it all for me.

Are you ok?

If "yes", then it's time for one of my favorite things to do....

VEHICLE SHOPPING!!!!

it is yes. they put her at fault and it’s time for something better now. i loved that truck so much. i did so much work into it.now i just gotta find something new

Glad to hear you’re ok. Get ready for a fight. They are going to super low ball you and try to give you comps nowhere close to what your truck is worth. And, they don’t pay for modifications. Better strip the truck first chance you get. I lost my 2006 Ram 2500 Laramie MegaCab Cummins Turbo Diesel that was fully loaded and heavily modified ($30K plus in mods). Accident was 100% the other person’s fault, even at their own admission. 130K miles and in pristine condition and their insurance company tried comping base model trucks with smaller cabs, cloth seats, base interior, and much higher mileage. It got so bad my insurance company had to step up and take care of me. They gave me twice what the other insurance company offered and it still was not what it should have been. Truck was towed to Co-Part and they gave me a short period of time to go there take off a few things. I lost my *** on that truck. There were a ton of mods I couldn’t get back and insurance wouldn’t cover any of it. This was 4 or so years ago, and to this day it makes me sick to even think about it. Hold out, fight and don’t let them screw you over.

Anytime I've had a totaled vehicle, my insurance company paid for mods that I couldn't remove. Definitely got that negotiated in. As long as you have receipts to show what you paid. They will give a prorated price but they didn't not oay

I produced receipts for all of it ($30k +). Got nothing. There was a lot that could not be removed. Trans with tons of billet upgrades, injectors, turbo, intake and exhaust manifolds, exhaust, custom silicone hose kits, lift pump fuel system, wheels, entire interior covered in Dyna-Mat, full custom audio system (I did yank my sub box that had my amps in it), and on, and on. I keep receipts for everything when it comes to my vehicles. Each vehicle has its own folder in my file cabinet.

Does each vehicle have a rider on your insurance policy for modifications? Some may not require it but with that much invested, if you didn't have a rider to cover cost of modifications, or a declared value policy to cover the value that's on you. Lesson learned.

I’ve attempted to add and they say they don’t do that. Oh, I’ve learned my lesson. Never build again, at least not to that level.

There are insurance companies that will insure a vehicle at an agreed rate like hagerity.

That's just the pain talking.

It's like that woman who vowed celibacy after child number 1 and then ends up having to buy a Chrysler Pacifica a few years later.

You'll be back....as you should. Don't let misfortune limit your zest for life.
