Also, about an hour away from home a rubber mat (kinda looked like a small bed mat or large rear floor mat) was tumbling across the highway. It was literally cartwheeling across all the lanes, most bizarre thing. Guess where it ended up? Yup, right in front of my truck! I couldn't slow down or change lanes so it just took the impact head on. Now, I can't say this enough, I'm glad I have my ADD bumper! I'm almost 100% sure if I didn't have the skid plate, the mat would've ended up inside the engine compartment and would've at least taken out the belt.

The Active Air Dam is the epitome of questionable engineering. That raccoon did me a favor removing it.Either that raccoon was exposed to gamma radiation or there is some truth to the "questionable engineering" of trucks nowadays.

I have three projects at car dealerships going on right now for work. They are all owned by same people. They are upgrading everything in the service bays. Including brand new Hunter tire machines and road force tire balancers. The tire machines are what they would call zero contact automatic machines. Instead of a clamp that locks into the wheel to keep it in place it has a center areas kind of like the tire balancers with a peg that sticks up to go into lug holes, then you spin a center piece in to hold it down. that is the only place this machine touches the wheels. Then you push a couple buttons on touch screen and let the machine to the work$20K for a tire changer?!? Whoa!
I have had an Atlas TC221 for years. It was about $1,000 when I bought it. Now it seems to be up to almost $2,000.
I mostly use it for changing motorcycle tires. But, I have used it to change the tires on my truck wheels at least once.
I change tires on my friends' motorcycle wheels for them, if they bring the wheel off the bike and the tire. They generally donate me $10 per wheel to change the tire and balance it (on a cheap static balancer). My tire machine paid for itself years ago just on those donations. I have saved myself a huge chunk more of money by buying my own tires online and changing them myself instead of paying a shop.

It was for the business, I don’t personally own it. Getting into the fine details, an assets company technically owns it (until it’s paid off) and we pay a set amount for quick access to funds. It’s a Snap-on wh-331a. We have stuck with snap-on tire changers for roughly 30 years. All our alignment stuff has been Hunter since the shop opened in the ‘70’s.$20K for a tire changer?!? Whoa!
