BIG DAY. I've been stockpiling mods since I got the truck in July and have been so busy with work and a beach remodel that they've sat there. Very much enjoying the truck but today...today she's a different animal. Dropped it off at my local shop for:
2" Daystars and DIY (mod here) air ride adjustable links. Ride quality is unchanged, vehicle sits perfect.
Truxedo Soft Roll Up Tonneau cover for RamBox
S&B CAI
Tint - 20% match on the front doors and 35% on the windshield (SC, no inspection)
Hellwig Rear Sway
Alignment
$616 (labor/install). Maybe not the cheapest, but I thought it was fair for a place that I trust. Also had to remove dealer tint before installing.
Pedal Commander (I did this myself after they were done).
Holy freaking &%(#)$#. Wow.
I drove it home before the PC install. Intentionally took a winding road. The S&B CAI is a nice addition. Just enough throaty response to known you have a Hemi but no drone. I can't tell you it made it a Hellcat but it makes a nice audible impression and may have picked up a few steps.
The Hellwig...I mean for the money BEST ADD EVER. I'm on the middle setting the truck is just so much more responsive. It just feels stuck. The ride before was quality but also a bit sloppy, overcorrected for softness at the expense of lean and play. No more. Really makes a solid improvement and that's my opinion after 20 miles or so.
The DIY links are so easy and cheap. Combined it's a great lift (level), no errors on any setting and now I can get some new rubber. Truck sits great, I notice no appreciable change in ride quality.
PC is no freaking joke. A bit scary on Sport+ and rainy wet conditions. I'm setting on Sport 0 right now and it feels perfect but I've got 3 miles on the settings. So much fun to adjust and watch what happens.
Now onto the new rubber, brake caliper covers and Plasti-dip/badge black out. Going with 305/45r22 in an 8 ply tire (XL) most likely. Keep the ride quality and get the size and appearance. Pics (before and after). Sorry, crappy rainy day here.
