Installed 35x11.5x20 Ridge Grapplers last week with the leveling links from linksforram. Also installed the Tazer DT today.

you were able to put the 35's with just a 1.5" level, do you have much rub?

I like big honkers, and I have yet to see this but I do like it. And i love the colour not something you see everyday

Yep. I don’t have any rub that I have experienced. I’ve even driven around in entry/exit a little bit.

That's crazy for sure I would call that black. looks like a completely different truck, had to check the rims to confirm it was different. That's a bigger difference in colour then Max. steel is.

Are you taking the wheels and tires off of the trade and putting them on the new one? What size are they? Can’t wait to see it.

Mine looks exactly the same as yours. Look at the pictures I added below. 1: is yours with the gap circled. 2: Is mine from the inside with sun shining down through that same gap. That's where I am seeing water entry. The other small light gaps I have have not produced any water yet, and can probably be remedied by adjusting the rails lower a little.

I just don't see a way that this can seal with that big gap. Not so much a Lomax issue as it is a RAM tailgate flaw. Over the rails covers might do better here.

It’s a flaw in all tailgates. My dad has a ‘19 Sierra Denali and it has the same gap. I haven’t seen one tonneau that doesn’t allow some seepage at the tailgate. The only one that really didn’t was the Mopar Soft Trifold that’s sitting in my garage. I just don’t like how it looks. Also doesn’t look like it would seal well, but it didn’t allow any water in over 8,500 miles.

WESTIN PRO TRAXX 5" Wheel to Wheel Step Bars

I wanted to chime in on the Pro Traxx 5" wheel-to-wheel step bars. Finally got them on - I say finally because the install was confusing at best. I really wanted the wheel to wheel version this time for better access to the front of the bed because with my previous trucks I would stand on the edge of the normal length step bars and stretch sideways, not great. There weren't many reasonably priced setups for this - went with Westin 5" Pro Traxx for $316 form a vendor on Amazon. The Amazon prime price was a bit more I think.

I'll post photos. I did not use the last bracket (#4 of 4, connects to the underside of the bed) because it didn't fit my truck. The Ram has a large round mount sitting in the way of the Westin drop-down piece. My weight 190 lbs, so stepping on the rear edge of the step bars without that last bracket causes a small amount of flex in the bar but I can live with it. The other 3 brackets are connected to pre-existing studs which seem to be only sheet metal/reinforced sheet metal, not frame mounted. I'm going to call Westin and inquire about that last bracket, but will probably leave it with only 3 brackets per side. The rear brackets alone weighed 39 lbs! I never had 39 lbs of leftover parts before lol. Anyway, the following photos show: 1. the final product, 2. the instructions showing where the rear bracket is attached to the bed underside, 3. the actual bracket attached to the underside but having a bed mount in the way, 4, and finally the box pf leftover parts:

I installed the Westin HDX wheel to wheel a little over a week ago on my 19 Rebel. I initially thought that last bracket wouldn’t fit, too, until I realized that for the 5’7 “ bed, you have to reverse the driver and passenger side brackets. They were a pain to get in there, but they fit (most of the pain came because we broke loose the captive nut inside the frame from its weld, so had to use a laparoscopic camera to snake a box head wrench in there, loosen the bolt rather than take it all the way out, and notch the massive bracket assembly and L-bracket so that we could slide them over the bolt rather than running the bolt all the way through them. Definitely make sure the same thing isn’t happening for you, too. I would definitely not be comfortable with them only supported by sheet metal instead of at least one frame mount (that’s the only frame mount you get in that application).

So granted mine is the RAMBOX version, but did yours include a rubber gap filler that channels the water away. Two pictures of mine attached.

Mine did not. I called Agricover and he thought it would come with it but when he dug into it he found they only send those with Ram Box Models.

i knowwwww!!! When we bought it it was a sunny day, no doubt it was "pearly shade of brown". Came outside on an overcast day, and i was like, "omg look, truck looks black, so i snapped that pic : )

And yes, i had Maximum Steel, it always looked a dark slate grey UNTIL the sun would hit it, them wham! But it never looked black : )

No traded it with them on. Gonna level this one too, but only get 33.2 this time. We did 33.6 on last 2019 with level and ride did suffer, so going to try a little bit smaller set up...Wanted something blacker this time.

i photoshopped (not the best mock up but u can get a general idea- All black or Mill accents?!) badging will blacked out IF we go with a completely black wheel- or leave chrome with the chrome accents... .. the Raceline Shift or the Fuel Sledge? Opinion?! thanks!
