Installed JL Audi C2-350x into my dash corners. Sound quality compared to my factory 6 speaker is incredible.

Thanks. I’ve since read that the OEM deflector comes with pieces of a paint protection film that is supposed to protect the paint from the metal brackets. Apparently, you don’t feel that this provides adequate protection? After I receive the deflector, I guess I’ll see if it’s something I can live with.
Here is a picture of the mounting clips and bumpers for the OEM deflector. I took it off temporarily to give the hood a good cleaning and wax. It has been on for six months.

Thanks for taking and sending the pic, Duke. Do you see any issues with the clips marring the paint?

Nothing obvious. But you really won't know until you take the clips and film off. I thought about that when I installed it and decided even if that was to happen, I wanted the protection the deflector offered over the life of the vehicle. Since I plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time and the deflector on, it didn't matter.

If you are keeping your truck until the wheels fall off and don't mind the thinner plastic material, metal brackets that can create wear on the top of the hoods surface and the exposed screws...then maybe not a big deal. If you don't plan to keep it past 3-5 years, you may wish to go with a deflector that attaches under the hood lip versus with clip on metal brackets on the top surface of the hood. It's all what you feel comfortable with. For me, I am not happy about throwing $85 out the window but I sleep better at night knowing that nothing is touching the top area of my hood to wear over time.

Thanks. I intend to to keep mine for a while and if I like the look of the deflector, it’ll stay on the truck the entire time. I wonder if a double layer of the protective film might not be a bad idea?

Got my tow hooks on today. Not too complex but I'm glad I read the forum post before I tried to put them on!

Which post is that? Did yours have the covers on those holes? Going to install mine next week and the video on youtube didnt really say much.

Here's the first info post I found: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/front-tow-pull-hook-install-and-mod-3-hours-picks.1658/

There is also a good Youtube video here:

Mine had the plastic "honeycomb" filler covers in place when I bought the truck. I ordered the hooks and new trim bezels (vs. cutting out my old covers). The install isn't bad, just takes some creative thinking to get your arms in the right places. Getting the one bolt out & back in is also a pain because of the motorized front air dam. Took me about an hour for the first one and 30 minutes for the second one. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I don’t think you will be able to use double because the clips are tight with just one layer of the film that comes with the kit. The kit film is pretty thick.

Did you need wire adapters? I am looking to improve the high clarity on mine. I have the 9 speaker alpine in my 19 Rebel.

Installed 2" Readylift level w/UCAs

This looks great. How did the ride change? One of the things that I loved about this truck was the smooth ride. I have a '19 rebel without air suspension and would love a touch more ground clearance.
