Painted my front tow hooks, can't decide if I like them or not. I also got a nice tow hook for the rear.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is not the same as the park assist sensors. FCW only works over a certain speed and uses the camera and radar by the mirror.No. Mine just dings and shows yellow to red in the EVIC As I get close.
Forgive my ignorance but how does that even work? Why not just carry around the door key then? If you've got to take it out of the bag to remote start or unlock your doors what's the point? If it works in the bag then it's not a faraday cage.I got a couple of Faraday bags for my key fobs to keep thieves from stealing my signal and hopefully my truck.
So at one MPH towards the garage it isn’t designed to stop the truck? Would explain a lot if that is the caseForward Collision Warning (FCW) is not the same as the park assist sensors. FCW only works over a certain speed and uses the camera and radar by the mirror.
That is correct. FCW and park assist are two different things. They are two completely different systems and do two different functions. So at one MPH towards the garage it isn’t designed to stop the truck? Would explain a lot if that is the case
It’s for storage of my key fobs when I’m home so thieves can’t intercept my key fob signals. I suppose you could use it other places as well. I sometimes park my car outside in my driveway and if there isn’t a signal it eliminates that threat.Forgive my ignorance but how does that even work? Why not just carry around the door key then? If you've got to take it out of the bag to remote start or unlock your doors what's the point? If it works in the bag then it's not a faraday cage.
What is the Yellow "aero"?My truck is loving the highway miles. Got a new job that's 35 miles a day from town, so no more bumper to bumper for me.

That's the air suspension indicator. It is in aero mode which means the truck is at a speed to lower itself down to reduce drag. What is the Yellow "aero"?
Forgive my ignorance and feel free to remind me that I have an owners manual still in the shrink wrap. That is correct. FCW and park assist are two different things. They are two completely different systems and do two different functions.
Park assist uses the sensors in the bumpers for parking and auto braking only works in reverse.Forgive my ignorance and feel free to remind me that I have an owners manual still in the shrink wrap.
The video references automatically applying the brakes with Park Assist, but the screen shot and my memory lead me to believe that the brake function only works in reverse?
however if I’m about to hit someone with “normal” driving it may apply the brakes via FCW?
Ah. Thanks for the explanation. I suppose in a perfect world they’d put sensors in the front bumper as well.Park assist uses the sensors in the bumpers for parking and auto braking only works in reverse.
FCW uses the radar and camera in front of the rear view mirror. It can apply the brakes if it thinks you might hit something going over a certain speed.
I think it is suppose to slide out when covering the side window.Well this happened today....View attachment 101949
Not all that surprised as it has been very loose. I have an appointment for the 25th...ugh
Has this happed to anyone else?
I have both in my Limited. I may have referred to the wrong thing. Ooops.Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is not the same as the park assist sensors. FCW only works over a certain speed and uses the camera and radar by the mirror.
I was going to park in my work lot, moving forward, got too close to one vehicle according to truck sensors and it slammed on my brakes. I turned it off.Park assist uses the sensors in the bumpers for parking and auto braking only works in reverse.

Yep. I pulled into a parking spot that had a bush hanging 1' over the pavement. I ignored the beeps and my truck applied the brakes.I was going to park in my work lot, moving forward, got too close to one vehicle according to truck sensors and it slammed on my brakes. I turned it off.
What rear tire web strap is that? It looks so much nicer than the ones I have.Anyone else here ride? Used the ram for the main reason I bought it for once lol. Been waiting 8 1/2 months for this thing to come in. Came even to the point where I did not think I was going to be able to secure one.
Air suspension envy, you get it after a while when thinking about your next truck.... like a Laramie quad cab with air and off road packageWhat is the Yellow "aero"?
