What did you do to your Ram today???

Painted my front tow hooks, can't decide if I like them or not. I also got a nice tow hook for the rear.

No. Mine just dings and shows yellow to red in the EVIC As I get close.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is not the same as the park assist sensors. FCW only works over a certain speed and uses the camera and radar by the mirror.

I got a couple of Faraday bags for my key fobs to keep thieves from stealing my signal and hopefully my truck.
Forgive my ignorance but how does that even work? Why not just carry around the door key then? If you've got to take it out of the bag to remote start or unlock your doors what's the point? If it works in the bag then it's not a faraday cage.

So at one MPH towards the garage it isn’t designed to stop the truck? Would explain a lot if that is the case

That is correct. FCW and park assist are two different things. They are two completely different systems and do two different functions.

It’s for storage of my key fobs when I’m home so thieves can’t intercept my key fob signals. I suppose you could use it other places as well. I sometimes park my car outside in my driveway and if there isn’t a signal it eliminates that threat.

Forgive my ignorance and feel free to remind me that I have an owners manual still in the shrink wrap.

The video references automatically applying the brakes with Park Assist, but the screen shot and my memory lead me to believe that the brake function only works in reverse?

however if I’m about to hit someone with “normal” driving it may apply the brakes via FCW?

Park assist uses the sensors in the bumpers for parking and auto braking only works in reverse.

FCW uses the radar and camera in front of the rear view mirror. It can apply the brakes if it thinks you might hit something going over a certain speed.

Ah. Thanks for the explanation. I suppose in a perfect world they’d put sensors in the front bumper as well.

And as luck would have it, I made adjustments to be able to pull in the garage as opposed to back in!

I was going to park in my work lot, moving forward, got too close to one vehicle according to truck sensors and it slammed on my brakes. I turned it off.

Yep. I pulled into a parking spot that had a bush hanging 1' over the pavement. I ignored the beeps and my truck applied the brakes.

Anyone else here ride? Used the ram for the main reason I bought it for once lol. Been waiting 8 1/2 months for this thing to come in. Came even to the point where I did not think I was going to be able to secure one.
What rear tire web strap is that? It looks so much nicer than the ones I have.

What is the Yellow "aero"?
Air suspension envy, you get it after a while when thinking about your next truck.... like a Laramie quad cab with air and off road package
