What did you do to your Ram today???

Drilled a hole in the roof to install a UHF/VHF antenna. Ran the cable down the C pillar to under the rear seat. Scared to drill the mounting holes for the radio because I don’t know what’s under the carpeting under the rear driver’s side seat. Doing a little more research before I continue with the installation.

You could probably just get away with attaching strips of velcro to the radio. It should stay in place on the carpet under your seat. I've done it in the past with some smaller amps. They stayed in place for many years.

After seeing mesoavery's nice work using the 3M CFS12 2080 Carbon Fiber vinyl I picked some up off Amazon and gave
it a try. I've never liked the faux wood trim in the Laramie interior and I'm really liking the new look.
Looks great. Glad you gave it a try. You going to try the upper glove box section? I really glad i did that section all the way across. I'm planning on installing the limited console cupholders with cover and wrapping them next.

Friday truck got it’s first oil change-7,700 miles....I follow what the manual says. And had to replace a tire, damn nail right on the side of the tread so not repairable. I am still waiting on my tailgate to be fixed. The latches are on back order. They say due to ship March 30. It’s getting old having to back up the old fashion way- check all the mirrors and look back. Lol

This is a really good idea actually. I will do some research and make sure the radio doesn’t use the mount for grounding, but otherwise I really like the idea of using Velcro.

You should have a totally separate ground wire coming off your wiring hardness so grounding the chassis should not be necessary at all.

Today I took delivery of my Ram!!

mask on when I visited my parents to show them the new beast

I had Rough Country leveling struts and an alignment done. It rides better than factory and feels more firmly planted. I do feel like it is a hair nose high and if it doesn't settle I may either install rear air bags and/or a 1"-1.5" lift for the rear. I do have to tow a 24"boat occasionally.

I did 2.5 front and raised the rear 1.5 for that reason.

I'm thinking about it, if I can muster up the patience lol. The limited cupholders wrapped should look awesome. I have the front
40/20/40 bench so not an option for me.

Here's what happened to me in my Ram today: I was stopped on a county 2 lane Rd waiting to turn left with blinker on and was passed on the shoulder of the road in a no passing zone by a local cop car,who then proceeded to pull into a parking lot to radar people driving down the county rd. So I turned around and went into the parking lot, he got out of the squad, I got out of my truck, I put on my mask and proceeded to ask him What makes him any different than anybody else, passing people on the shoulder in a no passing zone? His response was do you even know what I'm doing? My reply was YES BREAKING THE LAW. He then said get back into your truck and leave . W.T.F

Just like those in our Federal Government...they can do whatever they want without ever being questioned. We do it and we get a ticket or go to jail:unsure:
