Got some more products to paint correct the new truck. New compound/polish pads, and some sonar perfect finish. Paint correction and Adam’s graphene ceramic coating go on during New Years.

Sweet. Curious to hear your experience applying the Adams graphene. Pls post back once you do it.

Took the first step toward dechroming by replacing the chrome RAM grille letters with black.

Also, just dropped off a set of OE 22" Sport wheels at the wheel refinisher to be refinished in stain black (à la Night Edition) and wrapped in 285/45/22 Continental Terrain Contact AT's.

Today I got my Ram the cleanest and shiniest she will ever be.

Over the past week I:
- Clay barred all painted surfaces
- Alcohol cleaned all surfaces
- 2 base coats of Black Ice ceramic coating
- 1 top coat of TLC2 ceramic coating (all surfaces except glass)

I also wrapped the fender flares with Rwraps Brushed Aluminum Vinyl

Overall I'm super impressed with the ceramic coating. The paint feels like glass and water now beads right off. It even brought the shine back to my tonneau cover.

That looks awesome. Exactly the look i want. The dirt logic shocks are so damn expensive though for the minimal offroading i will actually be doing. Do you think the budget 3” fabtech which uses stock struts with spacers and the rear stealth shocks would still be a big upgrade to a ready lift 2” level with the control arms?

How was swapping those letters? I heard it can be a pain in the ***...

Also, what is your plan for the chrome lettering on your sport hood? I am going the same direction but I am holding off on emblems until I can find a set of OEM 20" Big Horn Night Edition wheels... which has been impossible smh

It wasn't very difficult. I used a razor blade to carefully lift a corner of each letter away from the backing just enough to insert various plastic trim pry tools behind each letter and worked them a bit at a time until the letters came free. I wasn't ham-handed but I didn't care about removing the chrome letters without damage.

For the hood, I ordered a flat black overlay from Reflective Concepts. If I end up not liking the way it looks, I'll buy the OE black hood assembly.

Fishing line also works to get the door letters off and you don’t need to worry about scratches.

I had to do a temporary fix for the silver accents on the wheels i just didn’t care for it so i used TVD vinyl to cover them, also masked off the front end skid cleaned it with alcohol & used rustolium bed liner to black it out.
